None of our central back players is fast.

Barzagli is slow. Bonucci is a bit faster but he's not fast. Chiellini is slow as well.
Both Barzagli and Chiellini aren't slow. They are just not fast. It also depends on what are you comparing them to. Of course they look slow if you put them against David Luiz or Younes Kaboul, those guys could outrun some of the Olympic runners, but if you compare them to the likes of Van Buyten and Mertesacker, they look like really solid in terms of quickness.

2:58, Barza not slow
I've seen him plenty of times, I don't think he does that very often. If he even did it twice.

He matched Cavani in a race :D

Bah, c'mon, seriously. Comparing to all defenders and on average both of them are below average speed. Chiellini is IMO slowest in our defense (I know, Red, he's a bully and he doesn't really need speed). (I can already see some moron giving a facepalm and saying how I'm saying he's a bad defender or something). No, he's a great defender. But when it comes to one-on-one situation they can't handle the pace and speed. Bonucci on the other hand, can, most of the time. Putting quality aside I'd hate to see us play against Dortmund.
