Great addition (Ogbonna) if the deal is done. I can't help but ask myself though:

First choice back 3 would remain (Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini). Ogbonna would be first choice replacement for Chiellini/Bonucci I suspect. Caceres first choice replacement for Barzagli. Peluso was seemingly ahead of Caceres in the pecking order I felt last season.

Only in a back 4 would Caceres be a vice Lichsteiner. But in a back 3, Padoin or Pepe would most likely be the first choice right wing back.

I just wonder because its hard to imagine on the subs bench both Caceres and Ogbonna.

why? if we want to be a top team we need top players on the bench... i think we will see quite some rotation next season.
to me it looks like conte sees caceres primarily as RCB or LCB in a back three who could also play pretty much any position in a back four. i don´t think caceres is really meant to play LWB or RWB anymore... the left is covered with asamoah, peluso, giaccherini and the right with lichtsteiner, isla, padoin, pepe.

The deal for him apparently is 10m in cash, full ownership of ziegler and 50% of immobile-cds
Im kinda excited abt him arriving here but dont u guys think the cash component involved here is a bit too much ?

That would make the deal at 20million. Something what Torino was asking for . Surprise Marotta would include 10 m in cash here. I was expecting something lower than that.

Is he really worth that much for so called backup position. Are the price inflated due to other clubs interest? I don't know.

So you value Ziegler at about 4 and Immobile at 12 mil ? Funny...

:notbad:

I never thought we had a chance for him TBH, there were links about many teams interested to whom Torino would sell first.

So what's the total amount? Money + Ziegler and half of Immobile? Looks like a good deal, we don't need Ziegler and honestly I don't think the Immobile kid is going places, how much money was tho?

We did sell Immobile half at 5 million a year ago when he haven't got any Serie A experience and yeah Ziegler would be around 3 million to be honest. So the valuation is justified.

Juventus will resume talks with Torino on Tuesday in an effort to sign Angelo Ogbonna, claims the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Old Lady are reportedly in pole position for the centre-back and a deal could be finalised by the end of this week.

Juventus are keen on offering players and cash for the 25-year-old and the Granata seem ready to accept such a deal.

There are two possible offers which Juve are working on. The first is a €10m offer, as well as a 50 per cent share in Ciro Immobile. The latter spent 2012-13 at Genoa.

The second option is offering €6m, half of Immobile and the co-ownership of left-back Paolo De Ceglie or the full ownership of Reto Ziegler.

...........

That second offer :tuttosport: I dont think they might accept that though.lol
