Ogbonna will be our first backup and possible replacement for Barzagli in a year or for Bonucci if he turns back into a retard. Plus he will be on moderate wages and has big potential.

And it would be for 9M cash and 4M from Immobile. I don't believe that we will not negotiate Immobile's half in advance of the deal.

You can pay 9M cash now or wait until Barzagli finally falters and pay 20M and 5M wages then for an equivalent replacement.

LOL people has begun to write off Barzagli while he is only 32 years old  :sergio: Plus Ogbonna is 25 years old, he should be a starter with his potential, he is no where bench player

I'm not writing him off but he's not immortal. At some point he will decline. I'd rather have his backup be his eventual successor then to sign some 30 year old back up for cheap and then have to sign another player to take over for Barza in 2 or 3 years.

So Ogbonna with his huge potential should sit at the bench and wait when Barza will finish his career? and why the hell we should spend 14 millions on another defender, when we already have Caceres and Peluso to replace Chiellini, Bonucci or Barza?!

We're selling Isa, so Caceres will be a sub for RWB and Peluso will be a LWB.

Ogbonna will sub any of the CBs. He'll get plenty of playing time IMO.

There is also Chiellini and Bonucci that he can replace.

I'm not sure how we can play with THREE FUCKING CBs and you will be comfortable with Caceres and Peluso who are fullbacks as the main subs.

Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like we need at least ONE natural CB as a backup?

Probably you don't remember but Peluso was signed to replace Lucio, not for LWB position, plus we have Padoin, who could cover both flanks too

Caceres is unique defender who can play anywhere while Peluso is firstly CB and only then LB/LWB, so yes 14m for Ogbonna is horrible move

Rotation,Injuries,Suspensions, do I need to say more?

Let's take an example for you, we play with 3 Central midfielders, But we have Vidal,Pirlo,Marchisio,Pogba, by your logic we should sell Pogba? No ofcourse not, all of them will get their playing time.

Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini, and when/if we buy Ogbonna, im sure he will get alot of playing time, if he shows that he is worthy of it ofcourse. But your argument really suck that he will be a bench player. A team doesen't play with the same eleven for the whole season. When someone in the defence is suspended, need to rest, rotation, injured he will step in, so Im sure he will get his time as explained before.

LOL I thought that swedish people are very smart but i guess i was wrong  You used the most ridiculous example to compare Ogbonna's transfer when u compared Pogba's current position in team and possible Ogbonna's after arrival but ok let's play ur game:
Pogba - was signed on free transfer, 20 years old, one of the most promising youngsters in football world, 4th choice central midfielder
Ogbonna - 14m + 50% of the rights on Immobile, 25 years old, had pretty average season with Torino, you can't call him young and promising anymore, could become 7th player after Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres, Peluso, Marrone who can be used as LCB/CB/RCB, as for LWB - at first he is bad as LB/LWB, at second we have Peluso, De Ceglie, Asamoah, Padoin, Giaccherini, Caceres who could play there

Keep telling me about injuries.

I have just seen Ogbonna a few times, when you read about him, one of his strengths mentioned is his speed? Would be nice to have a fast defender, im not saying that our current defenders are slow, but speed is becoming more important as a defender. Just look at Varane or Marcos at Roma, they are really fast, a strength any defence could benefit from.

Could anyone tell more about Ogbonna what is his strengths?

Yes Pogba was a promising player, but this year he will get more playing time, according to you it's hard? Im sure Pogba will get alot of playing time, as will Pirlo,Marchisio,Vidal. Im not comparing them, I just explain to you that rotation is needed of many reasons.

And yes IF we buy Ogbonna for 13-14 millions euros, do you really think he will come here as a 7 choice CB .
Im sure Conte and the club sees him as a alternative to Chiellini and Bonucci. And if that's is the case. In my world he comes as a 1 choice backup in the defence, before Peluso,Marrone (could leave). Ofcourse if he don't perform he could be put down in the order.

Put personally I believe we buy him as alternative to especially Chiellini and Bonucci. And rotation, suspensions will get him alot of playing time. And I believe that is the case without or with injuries. Caceres is also there but I see him more as an alternative to Barzagli. Ogbonna is left footed and more suited on the left or in the middle.

That's what i've said, we can't afford to sign any backup players for that money at first, at second we have enough defenders/wingbacks, our defence line is fully completed
Probably you didn't noticed that Conte don't rotate our optimal 3man defence line when all of them are 100% fit??? Suspensions?! Should i remind that we received only 1 red card in the last season?

Should I explain that you get suspended when you get a total of 4 yellow cards (yes the cards could come in different matches, believe it or not :hellyes: ) Will that happen to Chiellini,Bonucci,Barzagli ? Yes it will happen to all of them probably, and maby more then one time? Yes probably. Are you smarter then Conte and Marotta? Do they have a reason to buy Ogbonna? is the reason so important that they are willing to pay 12-14 million euros for it? Yes it seems so. I trust in Conte, and I know he likes the player. Im sure he has a reason wanting Ogbonna.

 So we should spend 14 millions on a player who will cover Barza-Chiello-Bonucci when they will be suspended all together  not to mention that we already have players to do that

Actually doesn't say much about him except that he's fast.

Btw, RUS. You're nuts.

Which is all that you need to know.

But from I know, He's quite capable of playing the ball out the back and is pretty versatile. Can play as a LWB or CB/LB. Only thing about him is that he can get caught up high which is natural with any young CB. Pretty good tackler of the ball and is dominant in the air.
