Having used both, I feel the One X screen is superior to the Gnex. But the M7 that's gonna be announced soon had a MUCH lighter version of Sense compared to any phones before. Plus, with a quad core CPU, you shouldn't notice a difference.
One annoyance about the Nexus 4 I've read is that it's not fully optimised for a quad core CPU. Hopefully the community roms are optimised for it.
I disagree. Colour reproduction is pretty bad in low brightness. It's fine when the brightness is more than 30%, but anything below that and it starts to deteriorate. Blacks and greys looking purpleish is a widely reported problem with it. Gradients are poor too, and there's lots of underlying streaks in low brightness. Display calibration is the main culprit, but it still affects the quality. I've not seen such issues with the One X.
It's a great phone. But it depends upon whether you like the UI and the general personality of the phone. You should definitely check out the HTC One X+ and the Sony Xperia Z. You could also wait for HTC to announce their new flagship phone: the HTC M7.
Was testing 'Cerberus' app that @Fake Melo mentioned some days ago, works really great I've managed to give superuser permissions to the app so i can hide it from the app list.
Sms commands seems working perfectly, just like remote control ones from the web dashboard.
Will definitely pay this 3euro for lifetime licence, especially that you can link your account to the 5 devicees for that price.
In read a review(one of the first) of the Sony Xperia Z last night, and it was hailed to be better than the S3. I certainly Xperia phones more appealing than the Galaxy S phones.

In some of the reviews I read, it was pointed out that games and heavy-duty applications aren't fully optimised from a quad-core perspective. I'm sure of the exact details though, so I admit I need to see it for myself.
It's better if you root it from the start. Rooting wipes all the data on the device. So it's preferable to do it in the beginning when you got very little to lose. Do it a month down the line and you'll need to worry about backing up a LOT of stuff.
Rooting will help you block ads, run special backup applications and install custom, modified ROMs tall add more functionality.

I think I might root mine bye I don't think I'll install a custom Rom, I've had to do that a lot on my 2X and I don't have the time nor the patience for it any more. I just want something that works out of the box.

So you still use a single core desktop cpu?
Seriously, even if an app isn't exploiting all the four cores, it won't run any slower because of additional cores. Besides that, android definitely can deal with four cores, so you will recognize the difference.
Just got mine yesterday. It's gorgeous, looks absolutely stunning, altho I dont realy have the fel of a brand new phone since I had cm10 on my O2X so it looks kinda the same
BTW, gray, when you shage your phone do you hear anything moving inside? WHen I shake mine I can defo hear something moving inside as I shake it, a very quiet sound but its there. Is that normal?
