I need to change my ROM. Some processes of the Cyanogen ROM keeps crashing repeatedly, its annoying. Do I need to ext3 partition my sdcard for the ROM above?

One more question. What the hell is a radio and how do you upgrade it?

Radio as in GSM radio. So a radio upgrade refers to updating the driver/firmware for the radio to work better. You upgrade it the same way as installing a new rom. Just get a the radio zip file and flash it.

And there's a non-a2sd version if the rom, so you can download it instead of the a2sd version.

Can I just wipe and flash that ROM you linked above? Do I need to do anything else before flashing a new ROM?

How do I check the current version of Radio on my Desire?

All I can do right now is boot into the Hboot screen. Do I need to do an ext3 partition first? From what I have read, I can't do that without having the phone completely booted.
