I looked up WS on the market and its free with another free add-on as well.

What's the catch? What exactly do they charge for? The storage?

First of all, the free add-on is to prevent WS from being uninstalled. If you're running 2.2, you don't need it. Cos WS will be set as a device admin.

I think the app is free, but it only has a 14 day trial. After that, you need to pay for the subscription. The charge is for an account with WS.

To each his own, right now I find the tablet fitting my needs pretty well. I like browsing and reading some articles in bed and the tablet offers me that. I do follow lots of recipes in the kitchen and with a nice tablet stand I can have it handy while preparing food and baking. I play some games on my phone that I feel they would be better on a tablet. And one more thing, the tablet can offer me reading ebooks in a much easier way.
