Tried to remove the stock Google Maps app from the system, and I screwed it up. I can't even install it back.

Aah well, gives me a chance to try out ROM Manager and install CyanogenMod 6.

Yo, Android users.

I wanna hook my mate up with a Galaxy, to make calls with Google Talk. How does one go about doing it? He has google talk installed but doesn't have the voice option. How does one go about doing that? Do you require some third party software ala Fring or do you need some plug-in for Google Talk.

Someone walk me through it.

If he has a Google Voice account, then he can download the Google Voice app. But the G-Talk app does not allow voice calls. You could use Fring, but I've never tried it.

Is Google Voice free or does it require any sort of financial information, ie credit card number?

The problem is, Google Voice is not available anywhere other than US. So I really don't know. I can't log into it using the app.

Just upgraded my Magic to 2.0.

I had to get rid of my Xperia. It was nice and all, but the Magic has so many more things that I like about it. One example being facebook pics attached to texts. I hate just seeing names, I like pics!
