You either go Menu - Settings - Then I don't know how to guide you in English :D

OR

You add a widget for 3G data transfer and then you can turn it off or on whenever you want.
I disabled data over mobile, there's a setting for that. Still, something must be up cause Vodafone sends me a message saying "here's how to activate your web/mms bs". I never wanted that, must be something the phone is set up to do on its own.

Buy on AliExpress.com

I spend about 40 euro a year on phone use. Actually, less than that. Do they give you unlimited use for that price?
A year?? That's a cheap plan. If you pay that monthly you could probably receive unlimited data. How are you going to get by paying 3 euros a month?

What do you mean going to? it's my current use, on prepaid cards. I'm not going to fork over more money to the beloved phone companies just because I choose to replace my 5 year old (at least) phone.

How much usage would you say that is? I don't know about the rates over there but I can't imagine anyone getting through a month with $5; not even with extremely conservative usage.

I make like zero calls a year. I mean if I make a call it's like an exception. Recently I've had to call support at my ISP, call around when I was looking for apartments and stuff like that. But social calls are close to zero, it's all online. I do send some messages but it's such torture typing them out that I keep it to a minimum. I don't mind that as much cause it's cheap, so if I had a phone that made it less sucky I would do it more.

I just realized that I don't need a smartphone like this anymore. There's a lot of things you can do with the phone and the apps you get, but it's just something I don't need. I really don't travel much to make use of the GPS\maps\etc. I really don't make many calls. I receive more calls than make them. I don't tweet a lot, or even post on Facebook from my phone. I feel that a simple flip-phone would meet my needs better now.

Can we rename this to "the thread where Martin asks stupid questions about Android"? I found out my phone wasn't faulty after all, I was just using it wrong.

Anywho, now I have another question. In the Messages app. How do you know which messages (which seem to be shown all in a single list) are incoming/outgoing? The heading on the screen is "All messages".

Start using Handcent SMS where it displays the messages as a conversation.

"If I had a million dollars" and so forth. Don't worry, it's still a superb upgrade on my 5+ year old flip phone.

But it's a nice device anyway.
