there is a lack of focus and motivation. what clear better guy to bring motivation than the guy who made his team win 3 back to back CL titles, then left and came back to win them la liga after they slumped?

let's put it this way. is wjinaldum a better player than modric or casmiero? not at all, but he still helped liverpool reach 2 finals and win 1. good motivation and inspirational coaching and solid tactics can still get your players to do well

I don’t know if Ronaldo is the best comparison here. I can’t help but still be unsure about Zidane’s abilities as a coach. Sure he won’t a lot of titles in his very first years but for a team that was just so complete in every aspect. Monstrous attack, outstanding mid and defense.

We still don’t know what he would do for a team that’s not at that level. Unsure about what he could do for us in our current state.

Zidane did quite a lot in Real. Sure that team was great, but even after when their quality fell down, he also did well with worse team. This year he did great considering team. I didn't consider them to be great this season, bar their monster mid, I think their team is rather average and it's filled with meh players. Even if we say Zidane is not a WC coach, I think it's a laughable rumour because is simply a nobody at the moment. Choosing between the two is simply idiotic and whoever picks Gattuso between those two, hell, even three including Pirlo, is a moron imo.

That's not true unless you think Bernardeschi is a starter here. Arthur warmed bench at Barca, he had like 50% of the time on the pitch, if not less. He was a nobody there. Even when he did play he played rather poorly and provided nothing.

Let's be honest here: if the debate is down to Allegri vs Zidane, then we're more than good already. Both are massive upgrades on Pirlo who is just a poser, not a coach at all.

Id like the u23 thing for Pirlo. I like him way too much to want his career to combust, so hopefully the u23 experience can help him develop before he takes on his next top level job. I’d be lying if i said i wont mind Pirlo back as coach once he has had sufficient experience and shown potential.

Our senior players look confused with his ideas, I can only imagine what that would do for a young player.

Any coach who joins will have winning Serie A and getting past the group stage as their objective for the first couple of seasons. Its a project to start a new winning cycle and then build on top of that. CL is very far now.

Nobody plans to be the underdog but someone usually is..if you mean they are there by chance no not only..to an extent, peaking at the right time and "luck" matter but it's not all by chance if that's even the case. Fact is they are playing well, building to contend starts with direction..and the diff with them and spurs is they made a change and the team really did improve. Making the right decision is all that matters now. Pirlo stays we fall behind 4-5 years.

Well those are facts and what you said is simply not true because Arthur was not a starter for Barca.

Arthur was a 3rd/4th CM in 2018/19, played 2500 minutes, back then Bentancur had a similar role in Juve. Not set-in stone starter like Pjanic, but not a bench-warmer either.

2019/20 was a throwaway season for him though, with the injuries and the disputes he had with Barca mgmt.
