We finally seem to have found a settled and balanced attacking trio (Chiesa-Morata-Ronaldo)

Hope Pirlo doesn't ruin it by forcefully trying to fit Dybala in the lineup because the amount of work and the hard yards put in by Morata and Chiesa is incomparable and both take a lot of pressure off our midfielders.

Hoping to see De Ligt-Chiellini at some point provided the latter is fit and healthy.

There are more than enough games to give Dybala all the playing time he needs and wants.

Plus we can all hate on Dybala's inconsistency, but if we want the title we'll need him at his best in the rest of the season. We need to rotate like everybody else but we're trailing and can barely put a foot wrong.

In the pre match press conference he was talking how bad he knew the team in the away match against Roma at the start of the season. Gave a example of Kulusevski kicking the corners during that match, or his order to McKennie that he needed to stay behind during corners, while Kulu turned out to be a horrible corner taker and McKennie a threat in the air.

I think that people are stressing to hard on Pirlo and some look to much to his experience. He’s doing really good. We arrived at the point that we’re rotating and winning a lot, and remember that it’s just his first year with many players who just arrived at this level.

Hopefully another pragmatic match against Inter and some peak performances against Napoli and Porto.

A coach with no experience and no preseason, no familiarity with most of the players in the squad... did people really think Pirlo was going to have it dialed in how to use most of these players effectively right off the bat? Seems a very unrealistic expectation.

Yes of course he made some obvious mistakes, as using Cuadrado as LWB, fielding a semi-U23 squad against Crotone which was really naive, pressing the opponent to much and getting caught on the counter, sometimes I still have nightmares about a left side with Frabotta and Ramsey, but he seemed to have changed the mistakes and started making more logical decisions.

It’s still very good possible that we will lose a Scudetto because of it, but hopefully Pirlo is worth it for the long haul.

It’s like the first 9-10 games were like pre-season for us.

New coach, getting used to a team with new players and having to figure it out on the fly and with massive pressure coaching one of the biggest clubs in the world. Throw in empty stadiums, games every three days, COVID, more injuries than normal and this is no small feat for Pirlo.

We’re looking more solid defensively by the game and that is very pleasing to see. We are definitely on the right track and the future does look bright.

Pirlo's post match interview was really encouraging, he seems to have learnt from a few of his mistakes and appreciate that you need to adapt your tactics, which is good to hear.

The big test will be the next few weeks, we need to keep picking up the wins and close the gap at the top but there is definite improvement.

Long time didnt post in this thread.

What is clear to see is that it seems Piurlo at last dropped his fail thesis and his playing with carefulness. Thats good IMO because his naive approach was just not tiring us, but exposing our def every game.

First it seems he is starting to understand he cant go tiki taka every game, in fact never, with this juve.., so he needs to play it safe and protect his defense while trusting his attackers to do their thing, but without being too defensive to the extreme.

Now if we can find some really better midfielders to replace khedira, berna and ramsey then i think we will into something good-

2015-16 after we sold so many of Allegri’s CL finalist squad, we started poorly too (while he figured out his new squad) and only turned it around after about the first 10 matches and won 20-something straight... that season we also had 42 points after 20 matches in the league.

But you cant deny that even when he had the benefit of doubt to try things, there were some things that were just unforgivable and one of them was to persist in using his weird thesis foottie and letting us get scored in the very first counter of everygame.

So is not like he can escape blame on this, and he is still on the fire so needs to keep it up
