One of the biggest positives is that I think every single player is fully behind him. I'm not sure we've had that for the last ≈2 seasons.
Unless you have some inside info from players and staff then ill take this seriously. You just want it to be true. I hope they’re behind him otherwise it’s unprofessional.

Its funny how recently one of the big newspapers published that Pirlo was afraid to sub off Ronaldo, and today he did exactly that.
Pirlo is a wise man. And i dont think he takes decisions based on what papers say.

Which part do you have hard time believing?

I just get the sense that there is more togetherness with this group compared to past couple of seasons. Allegri reportedly had some problems in the dressing room towards the end of his tenure and Maurizio never really gelled with some of our players. Agnelli pretty much confirmed that in one of his interviews.

“However, inside the locker room there must be an alchemy that leads to overcome obstacles that may seem insurmountable. This alchemy was not created with the whole environment. He brought the Scudetto cup to the museum and he will forever be remembered as one of the winning coaches of Juventus.

We have a perfect record in the Cheeto kit in the 4 games we've used it scoring 14 and conceding 2 so it must be having some negative psychological effect on the opposition players . In comparison home kit record is 8-4-1 with 26-10 goals for and against (incl. Napoli result). Only worn the second kit once (draw) and that throwback pink kit once (draw).
The orange kit looks great on TV, not so much up close.

It was clear that Sarri wasn't very close to the players.

That is true. However I think one of the perks of being a former star player is that you instantly have the respect of your players. Might be unfair but a Zidane, at least initially, will be more respected among his players than a Sarri.
You make a good case with Zidane and Sarri. I have another one Pioli and Seedorf or Leonardo Pipo Inzaghi, Gatuso. With all the money involved players wont hesitate to throw coach under the bus. For the sake of Juve i hope it goes perfectly for Pirlo.

Tests coming up after the break

1/6 - Bbilan
1/10 - Sass
1/17 - Inter
1/20 - Naples
That's one tough schedule, but it's good to have a break in between to get the injured players back in the fold. Milan and Inter games are worth double, pretty much must win games and must be treated like finals. Part of me is actually happy to have actual meaning in these Milan matches again; in recent years their significance has been non-existent.

Considering he has zero experience and given that I was extremely skeptical about his appointment, I have to say, I can see how his team is taking shape and the signs are encouraging.

However, the good thing is that I can see that there are a lot of areas that can be improved. Even the game against Barcelona.....I think we played really badly in phases of the 2nd half. Not sure that is Pirlo's fault but I still think the midfield is the area that still needs to be optimized - their weakness only becomes clearly evident against the best teams in Europe. But the defense seems to have improved and some of our attacking play has improved.

I hope to see how this side places when players like Dybala and Sandro hit full form as well as seeing if Arthur can settle and McKennie continues to grow. Would like to see more consistency from Rabiot and Bentancur too.

But so far so good. Considering we have a squad that changed quite a bit with a new coach and new ideas, an injury crisis and no pre-season.....I am pretty satisfied up to this point.
