Even though we all are still not impressed of how this team plays under him, it is safe to say that we have been unlucky in a lot of our games. I mean Crotone (Morata's minimal offside and a couple of nice chances), Verona (Morata's minimal offside and a lot of chances missed), today (that last second goal...) were all games that we should have won. I think that once AS, DeLigt and the old Dybala click in, we will see the true colours of our team.

Forza Maestro. You got this.

Im a,so called Pirlo hater, so ill throw few words. This time our defense didnt look shaky, the mid of Benat and Rabiot is the one we should use. There is a progress, hopefully we can keep it up.
I have to disagree. I think we're going in the opposite direction. You have to define "defense". Because if you press and win the ball back against this utter shit Lazio lineup, it's possible they never set foot across half.

But we have our whole backline in the 6 yard box, so in that sense, I guess they did well?

There is no way we can play this style and be successful in my eyes. Just no way.

Of course, the senatori couldn't wait to get rid of Sarri so they could all sit in the box for 90 mins, because they're old, slow and can't run. I guess we'll just have to hope there's an error in the space/time continuum and we get reverted back to 2008 or something.

Seeing the tables of other top leagues there isn't a single (Bayern excluded) top team that is doing better than us and they hardly did any changes in coaching staff or players for that matter. Hopefully we continue to improve as we did in this match and a bit luck wouldn't be bad either.

So...what are you thinking? Is there no hope? Things to continue like this for another month or so until Pirlo gets sacked?

No defence organization nor solidity

Midfield 2 to support 4 attackers and they offer no protection to the defence

Constantly giving chances to Berna

Against better teams we will be punished

I''ll be honest here - I don't understand Pirlo at all. He plays an open game vs Barca and then bunkers the goal vs Lazio.

Too much respect towards Lazio today, they were shit. First half was quite enjoyable but I had a feeling it would turn into a shit-show in the second one, there were signs already in the first half...

Long way to go and I'm not even sure this is THE way. When you consider the money spent on this squad, it's been a failure because it still doesn't feel like a team.

The midfield 2 has no chance, unless we press and they can pick off rushed passes. What we're doing now, the attackers ahead do their attacking. When we lose the ball, the attackers do nothing. And then our back line turns and runs back to our net. So the only thing left in between is the 2 midfielders to cover... everything?

I'm not sure anyone knows what they're going to do. Even themselves.
They definitely don't. The appointment of Pirlo seems like a hail mary from Paratici to save his job. And Pirlo is too liked for anything to happen before the end of the season. I honestly can't figure out what Pirlo is trying to do with this team, but hopefully we'll start seeing improvements soon...

Every post-match interview Pirlo talks about a lack of intensity, or this time it was a lack of malice. This goes back to Sarri and Allegri... what is it? Still too many old, contented players?
