We need a proper LB. Better teams will keep attacking that side. Barcelona did. How many goals have we conceded from that side of the field? Without an LB and only Bonucci to cover with an ass tackle?

One thing i noticed today which isnt Pirlo's fault, but its an Italian mentality..... Spezia had constantly a high line today, more so throughout the second half. The amount of times we could have opened them with a simple attacking, through long ball... Rabiot's goal being case lf point. Bentancur could have also made some attacking passes but he chose not to or even worse, he just didnt see them. Same goas for our other players.

I hope Pirlo keep it simple and integrate his idea realisticaly
Yes his idea could be very refreshing with our high pressing, sometimes we can get the ball earlier and attack. With our winger kept the line with their defence, we can use our winger pace to beat their defence. We build from the back to take initiative

But it should be done occasionaly to surprise them. So far, i see the team very disjointed in build play and defense. Sometimes our central area is empty and we need to pass from Cuad or Danilo directly to Chiesa or Dybala. We also look messy in the opponent box, no calmness eventhough we already outnumbered them. And most importantly our players don't have any defensive structure and caught ball watching sometimes after we aggressively press every opponents who has the ball. It will be very exhausting against a team who has more quality especially in passing which evident against Barca

Hopefully we'll play some 4-man backline when A. Sandro is back. Or put some faith in Frabotta, I think he can fill the spot in many games this season.

Haven’t been able to watch any games since Roma for various life reasons. 3-3-0 seems deceiving by reading the posts here (but then again, ‘tuz)

is it team cohesion/tactics/players/coach? I was never excited about Pirlo but it’s obviously a year of transition.

Andrea Pirlo insists Juventus 'played a good game' against Spezia and reveals how the team can still improve.

"We played a good game, we should close it in the first half, we created a lot. If you don’t do it you risk against any opponent," the Old Lady's boss told Sky Sport after the game.
"We wanted to win it and Ronaldo helped us."

The Portuguese star returned to action after testing positive for Covid for over 20 days on Friday he tested negative and today he returned to the pitch entering from the bench in the second half.

"We changed our system little bit, we knew Arthur would have been more free to play a little behind. Ronaldo is improving and we were waiting for him.

"Both him and [Paulo] Dybala are improving, let’s see how everyone feels in the coming days.

"We always play with four defenders in the defensive phase. I had these players available, when everyone will be back we’ll see how we can play but the setting will be the same.

"We are improving, some players are coming back from injuries and we’ll have time to work on our ideas.

"Slowly, we’ll see in games those situations that we are preparing during trainings. We need to pick up the players between the lines, once we do it, we only need to think about attacking their area.

"I’m trying to simplify the defensive phase with two tight lines, we need to be more aggressive once we lose the ball, it’s less tiring to run five meters ahead rather than track back for 70 meters."

At least Pirlo is willing to try new things. With Sarri there was no progress, and we ended up in the same spot a year later because he had no tactical flexibility whatsoever. We’ll see with Pirlo, but I still trust and have more faith in him that he’ll get this club where it needs to be eventually.

I don't. Before others point out we have started slow before - yes, but that was with actual coaches on the sideline giving you hope for things to change rather soon. I don't see that with Pirlo. We still look all over the place.

And no, a win against Spezia doesn't change my opinion.

Hope I'm wrong.
I understand completely, there's a lot of red flags, like too many. However I believe he still would have the capacity to see all the mistakes and correct them before is late, after that, it's hard to tell if he would be able to overachieving goals before CR7 period over, but I'm all in for it.

About our underperformance so far in the season, noone can denied it, nevertheless he's new as a coach, new with us, no preseason, tight schedule, missing CR7, MDL, AS; Paulo out of form as never before; there're many reasons for me just to uderstand that at least a couple of months would be require in order to find something solid

Keep it up Maestro, the 4-3 was the way to go, keep working on it and we should be less fragile in defense in short time... specially with AS and MDL back
