FLASH - A giorni ci sarà l'annuncio del rinnovo di Andrea Pirlo fino al 2016. Le cifre: 4 milioni all'anno (bonus inclusi) ‪#‎LiveVS‬
€4m including bonus (after tax), to be announced soon. So same wages as what he's earning now, but VS had no citation and no mention of how soon is soon.

That's quite a lot, I thought he'd take a pay cut now.

I guess he's gonna play a lot next season as well, so don't talk about Veratti or anyone to replace him for at least 2 more years. :p

I was hoping for a paycut to let us sign and pay other guys. Oh well.

Why he should accept a pay cut? He is one of our best players so far.
It seems a bit unrealistic that we'll give 4m to a 35 year old and btw he's not fundamental player anymore. Alex Del Piero, the best player in the history of this club had to lower his demands when he reached certain age. He wasn't happy, but that's how it goes.

google says Pirlo statistics is:
2011/2012 - 3317 minutes, 3G12A
2012/2013 - 2858 minutes, 5G9A
2013/2014 - 1251 minutes, 3G3A

I don't know why you said that he is not fundamental player anymore, for me he is a key player who can give a decisive pass. His pass to Lichtsteiner in the last game as an example.

Concerning A. Del Piero. Conte considered him as a bench player, so the board force him to accept a pay cut.

Of course there is a risk, that a player in his age might lose his conditions, but hey, this is Pirlo. Wine gets better with age :spliff:

DP in 2007, that fall he signed new deal, inferior to the previous one. We're talking about player who went to serie b with us, legend, and when the time came he accepted (board forced him) what was inevitable, so should Pirlo if he wants to continue playing here.

I'm not denying Pirlo's importance in 2011/12, truly key player he was, but now he doesn't have that kind of significance. This Juve team is well oiled machine and no one's absence will be missed. You surely can see the difference between this side and the one during Conte's first year.
