I love that it took one match to make all of England realize what the rest of us have known for quite some time.

That's how to leave your mark.

Pirlo
True. Always good to see players from Serie A (read Juventus) do their thing on the international stage.

Too bad most of the blinkered, rabid, 15 year old fanboys will forget about Pirlo's tournament in a couple of weeks and go back to wanking themselves over "awesome" overrated PremierShite players.

:touched: That sounds more familiar than it should.

What can you say about Pirlo's performance yesterday? Nothing. English footballers post their opinions on twitter and yet again they just shows the world why they are fkn lame..

But now that I am finally sure Pirlo is the best in the world in his position I started to wonder what the plan is, redarding next year in the Juventus jersey and the next and the...next? How many years can Pirlo continue (he is 33 years old now as of May). And how many games can he possibly play? Last season he played as much as I believe he is capable of but what do we do without him? Whether we play 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 we need him.. He is the fundament in our style - just like Messi in Barcelona.. And is everyone so sure Marco Verratti is good enough to take his spot next year?? (I'm assuming we can't miss out on him next year). Pirlo is irreplaceable ofc - because he's the world best regista, but what's the replacement plan? Are we still gonna play with a regista in the future or are we changing tactics? Any thoughts?

If needed, Vidal can slot into the regista role. He won't be as affective as Pirlo, but Vidal is a good passer of the ball, with good vision also. And the plus side is he can make tackles too

There is no alternative really, Fabregas can effectively replace Xavi, but no one can replace Pirlo, when he's gone we're just gonna have to change our system.

England wish they had a player close to Pirlo's ability. Guy is pure CLASS
They have someone as good as Pirlo, but most of the English fans, media, pundits and their managers don't think he's good enough to play football.

His name is Scholes, Paul Scholes.

Anyway, it was magical to see Pirlo waltzing through England's midfield spreading passes left and right.
Has to be one of the players of the tournament.
