Dunga: "Juventus have a Brazilian in their team – and it’s not Amauri. I am talking about Andrea Pirlo. He’s the most Brazilian player of all Europeans and is Juve’s true Brazilian. His positional sense, technique, rhythm and accurate passing. He’s fantastic. He’s the first player on the paper if I had to make a dream team. Like we say in Brazil, Pirlo has turned this Juventus into what they are now. You can see that his team-mates respect him as their new leader.”

I bought the UEFA Champions League magazine the other day, and they had top 50 greatest players of the CL era, Pirlo was 23rd, this was one of the lines they wrote about him:

''Pirlo was a dead ball expert with frightening accuracy, he made a 5 yard pass look like Da Vinci's Last Supper''

Never more fitting words attached to a footballer IMO.

I know! scumbags! Alex was 16th on the list, Buffon was in the 40s, Davids and Deschamps were on it too. Zidane numero uno.
Zidane.... he was a football god. The way he played ....was just too diferent. He was swift, unpredictable..... yet so deadly. Even greats like Pirlo fall short to his epicness. Yeh he was that good.

My first imopression of him was this "oh ..my ...god....from what team is this guy? juventus?... ill have to pay close attention to him"....... and my story as a juve fan started.

IMO he is in the top 3 with pele and maradona.

If we win the league this year it will be because of Pirlo. And he is an Italian. :)
