Oh no Nick, not this again. I see its that time of the year again. Every summer we get people calling other people moaners because of signings like this.
Not that many people moaned about Matri(he was needed) but the Quag signing came out of nowhere. Also, you seem to forget that people moaned about the rest of Marotta's tragic transfers like Pepe, Toni, Martinez etc and look how they turned out. At the end of the day, this signing doesn't make any sense. He's 32 which doesn't go along with our plan to make the squad younger, will make way too much money and get a contract that is too long, he's declining and he doesn't fit the 4-4-2 Conte is trying to work out. Also, how often does signing an old 32 year old turn out successful? As I said, we as aspiring Scudetto champions have no business being all over this mess.

I also don't buy into the suggestion he has declined as much as some people suggest; I believe he looks worse largely because of Milan, as a team, not moving as well as they did back in the days when they had guys like Cafu and Shevchenko moving brilliantly off the ball and always offering Pirlo passing options.
