Which top team is performing this season? Even Bayern had two draws in a row before tonights game. Going by your logic every team out there should sack their coaches.
The difference between us and the other top teams are that they all have the same core of coaches and players from last year. They´re going to put together a run sooner or later to win their leagues, especially PSG and Bayern.

With Pirlo we don´t know if he or the team has it in them to go on a 7-8 game win streak. We´re only 4 points behind, so he should get plenty more time, but the doubt still remains. It might sound spoiled, but being so close it would be a shame to miss out on 10 scudettos in a row.

You know what takes even bigger balls? Admitting that he has failed and that this job is too big for him.

Resigning before February would be nice.
no coach has ever resigned voluntarily ever in history because he wasn't suited for the job.

actual no one in history ever resigned from any position voluntarily and give up large sums of money because they weren't suited for the job.

it doesn't happen.

They all have coaches that have accomplished something and have impressive resumes. They have earned the right to remain in their respective jobs.

Klopp only won the league last season, after 30+ years of hurt for Liverpool fans. He won the CL the season before that. Liverpool are top of their league btw.

Flick won the treble with Bayern last season, and had coaching stints as an assistant for Bayern, Die Manschafft, Red Bull Salzburg, and even coached Hoffenheim for a season. Bayern have a chance to overtake Leverkusen for first in a new days.

More importantly, however, both Liverpool and Bayern have a system of play, a clear and distinct style, ably supported by a competent midfield. We have none of that.

We essentially did what The Brooklyn Nets have done - hired a novice coach with ZERO prior experience.

I was wishing for Pirlo to resign after that crappy Benevento performance and I still hate that he tries to big-brain retarded hybrid formations and positions for players, but considering all things, we're in a surprisingly good position and I don't think last nights performance was bad at all; it all really just came down to terrible finishing from Morata and Ronaldo. 4 points off top, topped the CL group (how rare is that) and finally playing more positive football with a lot of chances created. If Pirlo just realized that playing a normal formation with players in their right positions would find the most continuity, then I think we'd see a lot better performances.

its OK for now even tho we are drawing too much. The real test wil come in january-February and onwards. Also very important: does he learn from his mistakes or become stubborn? time will tell

I was one of those wanting Pirlo out but I do see a change and we had enormous bad luck against Atalanta.
Since there is no one to replace him anyway Id let him finish the season.

P.S Add Pogba and a box striker and we become twice the team we are now.
Should Ronaldo score that penalty everyone would be hailing Pirlo now..

I think our Atalanta game have been our best game of the season and some ackward misses arent going to change my mind

I'm seeing a lot of progress with the tactics. Gives me relief to see our defensive tactics now compared to the first few matches, like the first Barca match.

We were a mess defensively, everyone confused and caught out of position running back disorderly on counters.

Now we see them team fold rapidly into a low block 442 much more effectively. It's clear the tactics are settling in the team. There is still plenty of work to do but the progress is clear.

Encouraging signs imo, we create a lot and now we are starting to become solid. With even a bit of decent finishing from Morata and Ronaldo we would have a decisive win over Atalanta which is not a given thing. For all their chaos this Atalanta beat Liverpool and Ajax.

We are still a mess defensively, the difference now is De Ligt is just there to bail everyone out...

And sorry but we keep drawing every other decent opponents game because we genuinely have no discernible gameplan or tactic. Any half decent top quality coach wouldnt be drawing this damn much, and giving games away, with this squad they would be flying over the competition. Its naive to pretend the coach isnt the issue. As soon as he faces a settled defence, doesnt know what to do (no wonder we do better in CL, even if 2 of the 3 opponents were amateur level). And keeps giving the momentum away with poor substitutions, wether its too late or not soon enough etc.

Yet to see a game he out coached his counterpart, let alone NOT get outcoached by majority of them so far. Only real adjustment I seen from him was 2nd game vs Barca. But our midfield play is still a mess. Feels like only half ok opponent we beat in league this season is Sampdoria, and that was the first game.

The Sampdoria match is the peak performance we have in a league game so far. It’s baffling that we have never replicated that first league match yet.

Liverpool won shit for years under Klopp and they kept him. I am 100% sure you and many here would ask for his head the very first season we would fail to win the scudetto.

Pirlo has been here for like 5 months, without a pre-season and we still managed to win the CL group, if anything he should be given time because there is no guarantee any other coach would do better because they are not doing in their current teams either. As for impressive resumes, Khedira should be a starter if we go with your logic.
