We'll need to see how Allegri's tactics change with Pirlo in the lineup - obviously we can't have Vidal and Pogba going gung-ho with Andrea sitting infront of our back 3, at least not against strong opposition. I am really liking how we're playing with a defensive midfielder (Marchisio) rather than a regista, though. I love Andrea as much as any other juventino but the way things are going I'd stick with Marchisio and have Pirlo force his way back into the team. We've not even conceded a single goal!

As much as I hate to say it, I completely agree. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We are playing great right now. Pirlo will have plenty of time to play this season, no need to rush him back right now.

When I think of Pirlo putting a precise long ball across the pitch I instantly want him to play every game but we're looking great with Marchisio starting. Roll on the results no matter who is playing.

I am interested to see how we'll change the setup to work around Andrea but let Marchisio keep the place that he has definitely earned. I've just had a thought - perhaps we could set up with Marchisio playing the Gattuso role? Could work and might be a way for us to play with wingers.

It's only a matter of time before Vidal gets injured again, so Pirlo will get back into the starting 11 eventually.

Possibly but in that case we would be more likely to field Pereyra, Asamoah or Romulo in his place. Putting Pirlo into the team means a whole shift of style. It would be simpler to replace an injured Vidal with one of those. I do agree though that Andrea will be back starting sooner or later. As long as we keep winning I'm delighted about that.

I'd rather play Marchisio against Atlético. Makes our defensive side much stronger and we'll need that against their counter attacks.

Bring Pirlo in the 2nd half if we fail to find the gaps to break that solid defence.
