Scholes was pretty damn good (probably better over longer period), but Pirlo gets the style-points. Shame though that Pirlo cruised through his prime years (post-06).

It reminds me of Del Piero. We never really got to see what they were fully capable of. ADP because of that injury that killed his speed, and Pirlo because he lacked some motivation.

That's just not true. After 07, Milan's team became very, very static and the Christmas tree formation didn't help. How can a playmaker be effective when there is no movement in his team?

Pirlo was wasted at Milan after 2007.

Paul Scholes is a fantastic player, too bad he was played out wide to fit in both Gerrard and Lampard. He was misused by English NT coaches. They were too stubborn to realize that when you have a player like Scholes you build the team around them to fit his style, you just don't try to fit him in a useless 4-4-2 playing as a winger. With that said, I still think Pirlo is the better player, but Scholes is not far back.

Yeah i know the details, i was just being brief lol. Pirlo's an aristocrat though. He doesn't kill himself week in/week out like other footballers.

Andrea Pirlo doesn't just pass and caress the ball, he makes slow, sensual, really emotional love to it. #whataplayer

Sig material. Got retweeted ~6000 times!

And the way, he pisses Arsenal players and fans off everytime, I love that guy.

Uhmm i edited my post..Typo mistake.

But i think i wouldnt waste my time arguing with guys who thought Nedved and Thuram werent World Class before they Joined Juventus :)

Scholes,Xavi and Pirlo are all great registas and are on the same level, there isnt a huge difference b/w them like some people like to make it sound..Personally i prefer Pirlo since his style is more appealing.
