Here's an idea. Why not blame anyone at all? He's turning 38, which is alot for a striker. Him leaving would've had to have been either now, next season or at the very most the next season after that.

First option = The perfect ending with him lifting the trophy on his final day.
Second option = He wouldn't feature much, maybe just a handful of minutes.
Third option = He wouldn't feature at all. Yes, it's Del Piero, but if you're pushing 40, as a striker, I don't think you're gonna see any playing time at Juventus, no matter who you are.

Gutted that he won't be part of our team anymore, but I'm so happy for the fact that, 1 year from now, 5 years from now, 20 years from now, my final memories of Del Piero will be of that big smile on his face, holding the trophy aloft!
I know, and I agree with you. Add to that the amazing support he got at his last day in Turin. Not one in a million player gets moment like that! Truly amazing!

I am not a Del Piero fanboy, I will live with this, no problem for me, I am not writing these for being emotional. I have seen worse: Zizou Baggio and Nedved Conte leave (those are my favorites).

This guy is another case, along with Buffon! They stayed with us at our worst days, at their best times.. so they should have left whenever they wanted, that simple for me! Like I said earlier, if he didn't cause any problem to anyone, if he didn't complain about anything, HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED! I don't want to write the same things over and over again, as I wrote much of my thoughts here: http://hk1981.wordpress.com/2012/05/08/alessandro-del-piero/

Staying in Serie B, reducing his wages to one mil a season, and saying he would sign on a blank paper, wanting so much to retire here after playing in CL one more time with us is the reason I am pissed about this, he deserved that no?

Nothing wrong with having fun, but the way he is celebrating is stuff I would expect from college kids and not the president of one of the biggest clubs in the world at the age of 36. Gianni had class and charisma, but Andrea has neither.
