Problem is, we don't have any players who have e temperament of a big club, and a winning mentality. If most of us had our way, we'd probably only retain four of those players. It's devastating to see that the only ones who bleed for the club are Buffon, Marchisio, Chiellini and Del Piero. Every one else here is either not accustomed enough to the big club or the mentality it cones with. The same goes for the DG and the coach. It's absolutely pathetic, Agnelli is blowing his lid now when the signs have been screaming for almost two months now. Maybe more. I don't care if it's a 400 or 4000 million expense, but any corrective measures not taken now, no matter how extreme, will leave the club in a far worse state than we're depicting right now.


Ps: You missed the sarcasm in the above post, coz its obviously not the brightest way to put a team together, but what I meant is, getting a DG and a suitable coach maybe perhaps a more cost effective solution than dismantling the entire team again.

1) Invest in the club, if he really loves it. Fund one or two mega signings himself; Berlusconi was known to do that back in his heyday.

2) Take a more active role, and ensure that Juventus targets quality over quantity.

3) Hire a World Class coach.

4) Retain the likes of Buffon, Chiellini, and Marchisio who are the core of this Juventus team.

What do you suggest should happen then? Procure more mediocre players who have no understanding of what it means playing for one of the biggest clubs in world football, and hire an incompetent mid-table coach to guide them into obscurity, all while choosing a very ethnocentric sporting director and hearing about failed 5 year projects from the management. I see that is definitely a recipe for success!

TBH there are so many things wrong with the club but the one thing that could drag the team along was the winning mentality. Regardless of the players, coach, president, kit man.

Since his injury, they have lost 5

I'd have to say he's probably the one player thats actually made this team seem better than it actually is. Of course, clearly, we've been exposed in his absence. And not just upfront. Let's hope he's got this form on him, come next season, assuming we do acquire his services. Here's hoping we do.

I would go out on a limb and say that he was the eingine that was powering the train for this team. Aside from his ability to score goals, his knack for positioning, his movement and willing to track back on defense and hold the ball, and his underrated passing ability are all sorely missed on this team.
