Agnelli: «The defeat does not change our objectives»

Napoli vs Juventus 3-0

2011 did not start-off well for Juventus but President Agnelli is not disheartened after the defeat against napoli: «It was a negative day which started-off badly with the injury suffered by Quagliarella>>

The score suffered is too heavy but the final score counts very little for the President: «After having conceded the goal we tried to remedy and we unbalanced ourselves a bit but at that point losing 1-0 or 3-0 does not make a difference. Now we must remain united because this defeat does not change our objectives and does not change the conviction in our means. I am happy with the supporters who encouraged us even today».

Quagliarella’s injury is a bad bit of news for Juventus. Asked whether the transfer market plans will change, Agnelli answered: «First of all let us hope that Fabio’s injury in not a serious one. H e suffered a distortion to his knee which will be evaluated tomorrow by the medical staff, but as I already stated, our plans will not change. We always said that starting with -27 in comparison to last year, it is not easy to be ahead of everyone after 6 months but we must live up to our tradition. We changed a great deal during Summer. We had 12 new players and the squad is very competitive: we have a group of attackers who when are well are of a very high level, we have one of the best midfields in Europe, an exceptional central defence duo, the best goalkeeper of the decade and Storari who does not make us miss him…It is a squad of excellent quality which perhaps suffers a bit from inexperience. We must give these player, many of whom are young, the time to improve and to acquire maliciousness and personality».

i re-publish it :D

I wonder what our budget is, if we even have one this mercato.

What is it going to take for them to start properly fixing these holes?

I don't like the fact that he doesn't put his foot down and lets VS forum influences his decision, like it did with Boniek's star (reason why it got called back) and apparently that's what happened with Floro Flores. Whether the latter would be a good transfer or not, he shouldn't be so easily swayed.

it was the reason why boniek's star got called back; after his letter to them and if I'm not mistaken even the fans on the forum acknowledged this (not the letter, but how big a portion/influence they should have)
