Andrea Barzagli was inconsolable and believes “in a few years nobody will remember anything about this Nazionale that truly gave everything.”

Italy went out in the Euro 2016 quarter-finals on a sudden death penalty defeat to Germany, having drawn 1-1 after 120 minutes.

“We really did give everything. Unfortunately what we’re left with is defeat and in my view nothing will remain of all the good things we did,” the Juventus defender told Rai Sport while fighting back sobs.

“All that remains is disappointment and in a few years nobody will remember anything about this Nazionale that truly gave everything.

“We really enjoyed our time together and wanted it to continue. We’re sad.”

His analysis is right. People won't remember them and that's a shame because they did really well.

He's definitely right in that aspect, yeah.

I think people will remember the fact that Wales trashed Belgium for a long time though.

If schweinhund can play so long past its peak and make the german selection, then Barzagli also $#@!ing should. Even if its not as a starter.
But Schweini sucked balls all season and in this game also... he's making a joke of himself, why should barzagli do that too?
