It's hilarious how people still not realizing by now that 30 million euros mean nothing for top clubs plus epl teams today...

Sadly the levels of cash that will be used by Europe's richest clubs this close season will break record spending levels.
The clubs I am thinking of are Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Liverpool and possibly, though much less likely, the Milan's and Atlético.
The fact that Juventus have win 5 consecutive scudetti on a transfer strategy which at times has veered form extreme parsimoniusness to fairly generous (Dybala) is remarkable.
Personally, I have feeling that the club has reached a crossroads in its financial appraisal of the future in terms of where it stands, vis a vis having the depth and quality of resources to win scudetto 35 and the Champions league in May 2017. I imagine that Allegri, Marotta, Patrici, Agnelli and Nedved have already discussed the matter in some depth in recent days and weeks with a view to making not 1 but 2 key landmark signings to move us up to the "next level". Just Cavani and Berardi (say)* and a quality defender will only solve part of the issue in moving up to that next level
Whatever happens, I'm pretty sure that of the half dozen or so deals that will be completed before the start of the new season, half of them will be under €10m, even if Marotta and Zaza are jettisoned.
Catenaccio's belief that Gomes at 30+ 20 is "unrealistc" is understandable based on our previous dealings inder Agnelli/Marotta. However, I have a lot of confidence that the outcome of our mercato in August will be that when we evaluate the quality of our market dealings we will be looking at the 8/10 or 8.5/10 ballpark.

* I'm not saying we will sign Cavani
