"Untouchable?"
Like lepers...

Does anyone think hamik would improve the team ? i mean, so you can see in the results?
He would offer something different.

Whether he would improve the team by 20m worth, is a different matter.

Good player, he's just having a tough time at the moment.

He's goal scoring record is impressive for a midfielder but in all honesty i don't think he'll add that much to our team. He tends to dissapear alot in games, i'd pick him over poulsen no doubt about that but right now we have more than enough players in that position, plus i like the marchisio + sissoko due in the center.....

Hamsik is the perfect Nedved replacement. He can and does play LM. I don't see him in the CM position anymore so I don't think he'll compete with our current roster.

He's got the strength and energy along with technique of Nedved, I do see glimpses of a young Nedved in him.

If we're looking for a direct replacement for Neddy, Hamsik is the Guy IMO. And he will contribute greatly as his crosses are often dangerous. To compare him to Poulsen is seriously baffling.

He's overpriced, hence overrated...
We don't really know his price. Especially after his last poor 2-3 months his price might have dropped or some other teams might have lost interest in him.
The advantage here is that we can involve other players in the deal and lower the price a lot. Like we did for Amauri when we gave them Nocerino and half of Lanzafame for 10m eur.
If we can buy him for 10m and involve some players we don't need (we have too many such players: Pasquato, Almiron, the half owned Palladino, Paolucci and Mirante, even Criscito. We also have many quality youngsters which we could give on loan or sell half of them), then we might make a good deal.

This being said, he's not a priority. I'd say that a team like Inter needs Hamsik much more (Stankovic's position in Mourinho's system).

I don't see them completely different TBH. Maybe not the same kind of players but there isn't huge difference between. Both of them have almost the same roles in the team, except that Hamsik has more offensive role looking at the formation Reja was using and playing.

Btw, Marchisio can also play in more than 1 position, which is an advantage.
Hamsik doesn't only have a more offensive role, he is a much more attacking player. He doesn't have Marchisio's tackles, nor defensive commitment, he has great movement, composure and a nose for goals. I honestly think Hamsik-Sissoko-Marchisio could be the midfield to beat in a couple of years.

He can't play LM, though he did a couple of times, and he's shit when he plays there. He's completely lost, doesn't know where to move, he's not really good at dribbling past defenders, etc. he really needs to play in the middle.

Its funny how some people think that were gonna sign all of these inter outcasts & that they would flourish. The worst part is those washed up players would expect a spot in the starting eleven.

Even if i accept your explanation about Clichy, which i don't because i know only about one great season (last season), you still didn't tell me why do you think that exactly this season shows what is Hamsik made of?
And by this season i take it that you mean the period from December-March when Hamsik did underperform and disappeared for long periods of the match. He was an all-rounder, present everywhere on the pitch last season and in the first three months of this season, but you ignore that and you take the last 4 months as the ultimate proof of his abilities.
Starting from that Catania game in Naples(don't exactly remember when that was). I watched Hamsik in a number of games, and he never impressed me. I don't think too highly of his abilities either. I never understood the reputation he had as a creative midfielder. I've always seen him as a box to box midfielder that's a good passer and is capable of getting into good positions and scoring goals. Serie A's Frank Lampard if you may.

that is exactly what he is and that is why Mourinho and Ranieri would want him so much in their team.

Big no to Mancini.

He failed to impress and he looks too lazy & unmotivated.
yes, I'm with you. Mancini is lazy moody Brazilian who doesn't give a heck about his club cause. Party monster just like his compatriots Fatty Adriano and the travesti-hunter and sumo fighter Ronaldo. They may are some of finest players around, but they never give any shit about their clubs.
