The situation is more dire on the left flank at the back. Paolo De Ceglie is nowhere near sturdy enough to be a first choice. He should be loaned out, or in the least given a rigorous pre season playing second fiddle to NOT MOLINARO but Criscito perhaps...is Criscito coming back????

Why De Ceglie is not ok??? I think that this guy is ok. Defensively he needs to work but offensively he is ok. He can cover the left flank easily.

As for Molinaro, definitely he is not juve material. But i wouldn't care if we kept him as a NOT STARTER if we spend in other positions...

Two starter defenders are a must. If Criscito wont come we need to bring two more and this doesnt count Canna too.
If we bring back Criscito and consider that we paid nothing for him and Canna, then i expect a generous investment for a quality wing-back!!

I expect us to spend about 10-15 mil more and i think thats enough to buy a good RB!

Now if we sell Zebina and raise some funds for that, thats even better. Grygera, Mellberg and Salih can be used as depth. So if we bring a quality RB, Zebi is an extra luxury we wont need.

The key to extra acquisitions are our sales.

A possible sale of one-two forwards (Iaq-Treze-Zala-Palla) and midfielders (Almiron-Tiago-Marchionni) could fund some extra transfers!

After Cannavaro and Diego, I think we should bring back Cristico for defense, buy a new RB and also buy another top quality player for midfield. I suggest D'Agostino from Udinede and if Trezeguet leaves I suggest we go for Fabio Quagliarella.

We have a very good relation with Udinese and we should keep it because they have very good young players.

Also we should sell Almiron, Zebina, Tiago, Kzenevic too.

I'm sure we will buy another top player for summer but I don't know who!

After shelling out 8-14mil on Almiron, Tiago, and Poulsen, looks like the management finally decided to man-up and spill out to fix our midfield. Good. Ironic that we've spent 35mil or so on the above 3 and our best two center midfielders are a free transfer (Zanetti) and a Juve youth product.

I hope it works out, but I really don't see Giovinco playing much with Diego in.

Very possible, but this time we might sell more players than what we'll buy.
Ranieri said many times that he wants 2 players for every position. We gave him two players for every position, but for some positions we ended up with three players.
Apart from the 22 players (2 for every position) and apart from the third goalkeeper, we also had Salihamidzic, Ariaudo and Tiago.

Now we have Cannavaro instead of Knezevic, who almost surely won't be bought, and we have Diego instead of Nedved.
We still have 3 players too much and we have players on loan or co-own (Almiron, Palladino, Criscito, Paolucci etc).

If our new coach uses different tactics, then we might end up with even more players we don't need (if we play without wingers, then Marchionni won't be needed at all).

Many possibilities as you can see.

Btw, i checked ManUtd's squad and i see that they have 20 senior players in their 25 men CL squad (3 of them are gk's) while the other 5 are youngsters (like Ariaudo in Juve).
They don't even have 2 senior players for every position but they have many versatile quality players that can play in different positions.
They invested in quality instead of quantity. If our new coach wants the same and if the potential sales might give us money for new quality signings, then we might easily end up selling 2 players to buy 1 player.
