keep on shoveling, nigga. Brady over Eli was the right call - it's all about the match-ups, bitch. Plus, Aaron is gonna shovel your sorry ass out the window anyway

P.S. Manning happened to have a better stat day but wasn't the right choice based on inconsistency in past games. Dalton had a very tough divisional game, away. EVen if Brees has been anything but great this year, this particular matchday he was a must start over Dalton.
to put it mildly, you are pushing Voller's shit in, 10 ft deep.

yes he would have, but especially against you

no honor with the diavolo, plus it's silly to pretend that one would always get it right with matchups, you win some and you lose some, also coming from the reigning champ

of course not always, but more often than not, you do. Remember, we are not talking about sitting an elite player and starting a bum here. Brees is no longer the must start, week-in-week-out, QB he once was, but that doesn't mean he can't deliver in a good match-up. And today was a great one for him (at home vs a D that can't stop the pass, in a game that was projected to be an all-out shootout = high floor and high ceiling).
Dalton on the other hand is not an elite Qb you start no matter what. And today was a tough matchup for him - a divisional, away game vs a good team and a very improved D. These games usually are low-scoring dogfights and fantasy bonanza, projecting for a low floor and a low ceiling.

nonsense, dalton has been on fire all season(i remember you trying to trade for him) while brees had more points in his first half than his last games combined, i stand by my choice, you will find it hard to find anyone placing brees over dalton in week 8 rankings

I tried trading for Dalton for his week 10 match-up when Rivers is on a bye (my back up at the time, Matt Ryan, had the same bye week as RIvers). That is, I preferred Dalton over the likes of free agents like Fitzpatrick and Hoyer for week 10. I wasn't looking to make Dalton my starting QB.
Yes, he's been having a great year, especially by Andy Dalton standards but he still not an elite QB you start independent of match-up. I understand why you got suckered in to start him over Brees (this year's Brees) but when you have two QBs, none of whom is a week-in-week-out must-start, you play the match-ups game.

Just to clarify - I am not saying you should never start Dalton over Brees (considering their respective situations this year). I am saying it was a no-brainer who the better start was THIS week.
The Raiders looked pretty damn good today. Derek Carr is turning into a very solid QB. And that Charles Woodson revival. 5 ints for the 29 year old already.
Rodgers is 8 of 12, so he's making throws, but he's just not taking shots downfield. 37 yards on 8 completions is pretty silly. I mean, part of it seems to be that his receivers aren't getting open, but part of it just not gambling, and eventually he needs to start trying to fit balls into tight windows downfield.
About Lacy, the dude needs to lose some weight. I don't care how much he denies it, and the Packers deny it. He looks incredibly slow and lazy when he runs this year. Looks ridiculous. Look at how much better Leveon Bell looked in the pros once he lost 15 lbs he'd been carrying at MSU in College. Lacy needs to drop 10-15, if not 20 lbs, and gain some of his quickness back.

I know it was a pretty good game, Carr has been good since last year and he's just getting better. Next week we'll pay a visit to Steelers, it could be a decisive game if everything goes the way @acmilan said.
