thanks for the kind words, booby
yeah, draft was far from ideal but the tinkering allowed me to overcome that relatively quickly. A better draft would have helped no doubt but eventually it was in-game injuries (lost 2-3 match-ups, while winning only one due to those) and severe under-performing from elite players in the final, decisive 2 weeks that did me in the end.
