well, had reid going to Dallas but 9ers get him instead - good fit for their needs but think it's a bit too early for Reid to trade up for - good in pass coverage, not great but questinable angles in run support. For me he was a late 1st, to mid 2nd round talent.

So this means now that San Francisco can possibly take a Margus Hunt with their 1st 2nd round pick. I figured they would look hard at D. J. Swearinger with their late 2nd round pick for safety, but I guess they feel that Reid can come in and start right away.

You don't like the pick?

I still can't believe that San Francisco still has their 2 2nd round picks and a 3rd.
keep in mind who you are trading with? Miami knew they were dealing with the Raiders, you knew you had Jerry on the other end of the line ... you think that trade was chose by chance ;)

good pick for the Giants, not that big of a reach as some might say - Pugh is a very technical GUARD in the NFL (not an OT) and would help their pass protection A LOT, as well as run blocking.

I think you could go for K Short in early 2nd or Jesse Williams/D Jones if one of them falls there. Hunt is definitely a possibility but the guy is gonna be 26 yo soon and is still pretty raw. Could be a risky move ... maybe in late 2nd if he is still there.

Look out for Eifert or Ertz in early 2nd too ;)

I'm not so sure about Ertz in the early 2nd. I really like Gavin Escobar from San Diego State, and I think he could be had in the 3rd. Mike Mayock seems to really like Reid, so that's good enough for me, as I fell he has more football knowledge than Kiper and McShay combined.

Kiper and Mckshay are mouthpieces, why even mention them here? watching the ESPN coverage or what? :D

Reid is good player, not great but probably he was the best fit at S for the 9ers after Vaccaro. With Vaccaro gone, you guys probably got scared Reid may be next - I think he could well have been taken by Dallas at 18 - so you had to trade up ... and didn't cost you much anyway.

Ertz is really good, not much behind Eifert plus he has the Stanford connection with Harbaugh there

good pick by the Bengals - they needed that on O

Falcons trading up for a CB (Trufant) or pass rusher (Datone Jones, Carradine)?

Wow, Vikes gave up a lot for this pick. Pats gotta love getting a 2, 3, 4 & 7 for their 29th pick in the first round.
