The Bears being a bunch of Frailbodies is what kept them out of the Super Bowl. Need to get Cutler in the weight room and introduce him to the pre-game stretch.
Doesn't take away from the fact that I would love to have him on the 49ers.
If a bonehead play were the be all and end all to a players career, then Jerry Rice would have been cut after he fumbled away a touchdown in the '87 playoff game against the Giants when there was no one around him for 15 yards
what the Bears need is get Matt Flynn ... too bad for them he will probably end up at Miami
other than that, they were easily the best team to miss out on the postseason even if I doubt they'd have beaten NO at the Superdome, not with someone like Cutler at QB, anyway

Wait a minute here. How was he not there mentally at 100% , when he caught 7 of the 8 passes targeted his way? Yes, granted, that was a huge drop, but his target/reception ratio far exceeded everyone else's on the team. I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve flak for his drop, but Hernandez was a far bigger culprit in regards to dropped passes. His drop was by far the most inexcusable of them all.

dropping the ball is part of the game, and i am ussually the alst one to fault a receiver for dropping the ball it;s not like he wanted to drop it, however not being committed at a 100% to the team and teh game is inexcusable
So let me see if I get this straight. The first 7 targets that went Welker's way, he had full concentration on, but the one drop, he didn't and that can be directly attributed to him getting engaged the week before the Super Bowl? Are you kidding me here? And besides, Welker had to twist his body around to come up with that pass. It's not as if the pass was right on the numbers and he was caught in stride. That would have been a difficult catch to make, but yes, a catchable ball nonetheless. But don't make it sound like it was a 3 yard bubble screen that he dropped here dude. And why haven't you said anything about the Aaron Hernandez drop on the last drive that was right in his hands, in stride, and had 7-10 yards of open space to run with?
