The Brady dick sucking is getting on my nerves. His bonuses are off the roof, that's how he gets away with the "low" salary.

- - - Updated - - -

Not to mention all the shady shit Kraft is pulling for him.
His bonuses are "off the roof". Yet, there aren't many other QB's who structure his salary this way, so that he can still get paid by earning his bonuses AND still help the team out by lowering his cap hit.

Why aren't more Quarterbacks doing this? Easily the highest paid position in the NFL, yet Brady is one of the few who actually structures his contract like this.

And I'm sorry if the truth hurts about Brady being the greatest QB ever, but that seems like something that you will need to come to terms with

Even I'm just fine and dandy with Brady now being the greatest QB of all-time. I held back for longer than others because the first 3 Super Bowls the Pats won were more about dominant defense, and all-around top team, he never really looked like a great in the playoffs like Montana did in those first 3...

But the Seattle one and now this Super Bowl he literally carried that team on his back. Especially against Atlanta. Greatest comeback in NFL history, and to do it in a Super Bowl at his age, with his set of receivers, it pushes him a very clear step ahead of Montana, and any other pretenders to that throne.

As a 49er fan since the days of OJ Simpson, you can only imagine how difficult it was to say that Brady is the best QB of all time. But greatness and transcendence must be recognized, and Brady is no longer competing against the QB's of his generation, or against the QB's in the history of the game. He is now competing for the title of greatest player of all time.

he is 39..if he was 24 just winning his sb he would double that (no?)
And he just had his 2nd best statistical year of his career, in 12 games this past season. Age doesn't matter when it comes to him. He has been remarkably durable in his career, and he is still in his prime, as amazing as that sounds.

On the other hand, QB's like Peyton Manning refused his team's request for a paycut due to his steep decline. He could have helped the Broncos by restructuring his contract, but he refused.

In other words, the 14 million dollar cap hit that he has had last year and this year include the bonuses

i bet a lot of nfl watchers can't even realise the stats he pulled and how immense they were even for a normal nfl game, besides a sb. just incredible.. inhuman accuracy in the 2nd half...

Idk, you seem to be enjoying it :p

But I hear you, I respect the shit out of the Patriots, both Belicheck and Brady are the best but fuck them.
Far from it. The majority of patriot fans here are bandwagon jumpers. I can name the number of really loyal fans, the ones that I used to go to the games with because you could get 50 yd line seats at Foxboro Stadium for 10 bucks type of fans on one hand, with fingers left over.

In fact, back then the only sellout that I could remember back then was when the 49ers came to town in 1986.

I met Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice at the Showcase Cinema in Seekonk the night before the game. They were hanging out in the arcade

If they do that, then what do they do with Armstead and Buckner? Neither one of them have the bulk to play DT.
Kind of why I asked. I guess one of them could start next to a 2-gap DT but would be tough to give both enough time on the field. Depth is always a good thing but rotating two high picks seems like a bit of a waste.

I agree. They need to stick with a 3 man line. They barely have enough talent for a 3 man d-line.
