Yeah. Was it really good? @Salvo

It's not really a game changer. Just picking up a LB that the Vikings deemed unnecessary due to the progress made by their 2nd round pick from this summer... 6th round pick isn't a big deal, and I have no idea about Nick Easton, though it sounds like the Vikings had been trying to get him for awhile, as their centre depth is pretty lacking...

I don't really see the trade as much other than a shuffling of bit-parts. Are the Niners in desperate need of a middle linebacker?

Not a major move, but from what I've read, the 9 were going to cut Easton.

Reading some comments from Vikes fans, they weren't too pleased with the move, actually. I'm not really familiar with Hodges, but he had been starting for them in the 4-3, had played some nickel, too.

After losing Willis and Borland, yeah, the 9 need help at LB -- and all over the field, really. So it's tinkering, but probably in SF's favour. :D

Definitely. But yes it was a good move. Easton is shit and didn't play a snap, we are thin at line backer and he is relatively young.
Also Kilgore is back soon. Our o line will look a lot better with him there if he can regain form.

That trade was all about gathering a draft pick. The Niners are rebuilding. The team is garbage. Stockpile picks and start working on 2016.

They also need to dump that bum Kaepernic. He's finished as a starting qb in the NFL.
