Poor Tom Brady. Probably thinking he could finally win a 3rd MVP this season, but Rodgers is just on an entirely different level. What a beast.

How the fuck was that a dirty hit. These new rules are turning football into such a pussy sport. I blame whiny bitches like Tom Brady.

Right now I'd probably prefer Alex Smith to Kaep. Just for a week or two, until my current disgust dissipates a little. :p

Also:

Totally crushed free agency.

:D

It will take some time, we just need to make sure we make the right decisions going forward.
:xfinger:

But in all honesty, I can barely watch this train wreck of a team, atm. So many holes. In my opinion, it's going to be 2-3 years at the very least before this group is legitimately competitive again. Who knows if this group of coaches will stick. Tons of personnel questions at important positions.

We'll see what happens, very much hope I'm wrong.

I'd say the 9ers should burn a high draft pick on a QB this year if they have the terrible season it is looking like, but this next year's QB class looks really weak.

Rodgers. What a player.
Only current QB that reminds me of Montana. Accurate, great long ball, excellent progressions, fantastic scrambler, and tough as nails. It will be interesting to see how clutch he is over the next few years. He has a Super Bowl already, but I'd like to see another 2.

I've got to say, minus his injury, they surely beat Seattle and New England last year. Best team in football imo. Hard to say this year. Missing Jordy Nelson is huge.

Terrible spot there. Not a first down at all.

And what a fucking hit by Randall!

Yep from what I've seen of Montana Rodgers comes close in terms of style, calm. He is so great to watch. He will go down as one of the greatest but no one can come close to what Joe achieved. What he did was ridiculous.

Don't tell that to acmilan. :p

I agree though. I think Montana would have been a lot like Rodgers playing in this modern era with such pass friendly rules.

I also think Rodgers would adapt best to the 80s and early 90s style of game amongst current QBs.

What the heck was Green Bay D doing there. Sleeping on the run :sergio:

Rodgers vs Brady

Go.
He's just going to post a bunch of nonsense about Super Bowl trophies and team record, like he always does.

In close to every single QB stat, regular season and post-season, Rodgers is better than Brady. If he wins another couple super bowls it won't even be an argument.

I still take Montana over both Brady and Rodgers, like Salvo, but Rodgers has quite a few years to change my mind :D

Brady's career > Rodgers career at the moment, as is to be expected when comparing a 38 year old to a 31 year old... But prime Rodgers is far better than prime Brady.

What is the context?

Both are phenomenal at their craft but if we are talking about skins on the wall then Brady would be the obvious choice
So winning 3 SBs to start his career due to having a dominant defense says Brady is the best? Confused. Put Rodgers on those teams, and they would have won 5 SBs.

Given the lack of depth on the roster, they'll certainly draft the position, as usual. But I really don't think they'll use a high pick on a QB. Huge holes up and down the lineup, they'll go best player available, particularly early. Huge holes on the line, at CB, need an impact WR... and on the list goes. I can't remember what percentage of Kaep's contract is guaranteed, either, so that's a factor.

Unless it's a great opportunity, using a high pick probably brings an underwhelming player, and creates more of a mind fuck for the incumbent QB.

That's a rather subjective outlook. Rodgers' teams have gone up against worthy opponents in the playoffs but just haven't been able to get the job done, similar to Peyton. It's really fucking hard to win a SB (as a team) so let's not do the whole plug n play bit

Rodgers has had a mediocre to bad defense backing him up over the last 3-4 years. From 2011-2014 their scoring defense was ranked 19th, 11th, 24th, 13th.

As I showed. Rodgers is superior to Brady in every single measurable in the playoffs. Completion%, TD%, INT%, YPA, Passer Rating, Rushing.... So he's clearly not the reason his team is losing in the playoffs. Rodgers has 3rd best all-time playoff passer rating, Brady is 13th. I'm sorry, but the difference between the 2 is that Brady has consistently had a better supporting cast.

Rodgers isn't some playoff choker, interception machine like Peyton Manning. He's been excellent.

I never insinuated that Rodgers is a choker of any sort nor did I suggest that Rodgers lack of championships are his own fault. No need to get defensive.

But at the end of the day no one cares about stats. Ask Dan Marino.
