You could always ask us about terminology and the like
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when something happens that I don't understand. I have a tough time understanding some of the flags that are thrown. Like when a receiver is about to receive the ball and is pushed - that happens almost every play and sometimes it's called. Any clearcut rules on this? I mean, they're grabbing and shoving each other all the time, why does the ref decide to give 10 yards to either team suddenly?

Simultaneous is ok. Early is bad. Late don't matter - within reason. That last part is the difference from soccer tackling.

When it comes to pushing receivers, defenders can get in their junk for the first five yards from scrimmage. After that is a penalty.

So let me get this right, if both players are in each others faces while the ball is flying no flag is thrown. If the defender holds down the receiver then it's a foul and vice versa?

There's offensive interference too when a receiver pushes off his marker to create space to make a catch.

But in general, no major impactful touching after the first five yards from scrimmage. Refs have gotten better about not calling penalties for uncatchable balls. But if it's in the air and they entangle, that's often flagged. Rare that it is considered "incidental contact" and no flag.

I'm not Sergio, but I think it's Tyler Bray. He didn't have a very special career at Tennessee, but that program is a mess. He is the prototype NFL pocket passer and if he gets in the right system he could be a very solid NFL qb.
Cool, been wondering if there were some decent late round guys this season.

Sergio, who do you think is the best QB not named Geno or Matty B in this years draft?
This is a really really mediocre draft class for Quarterbacks.. I'm not even remotely convinced that Barkley will get drafted in the first 2 rounds.

I would say Tyler Bray from Tennessee, but he is going to have to light it up at the combines and/or his Pro Day.

This is a Defense heavy draft this year, with a handful of Defensive Tackles going to be taken in the Top 8, starting with that Star dude from Utah, who I think will go first overall. If not him, then OLB Jarvis Jones from Georgia could go first.

On another note, where was the Houston secondary on that touchdown pass?

Tired. They're not equipped for the Patriots.

If someone told me at the beginning of the game that Daniel Manning would be the offensive MVP for the Texans, I..................well....................................................I don't know.

I guess I would say that there was no use for me to watch the game.
