probably because they don't want to pay him what he's asking for since he's not all that productive (but that isn't saying much compared to the rest of chicago's offense)

also keep in mind that he's old and they still don't have a solid qb. why pay an aging wr when you have no one to throw him the ball?

and the bears are one of the cheapest organizations in the NFL when it comes to paying players, if they were hesitant to pay lance briggs then why would they want to give muhammed a new deal? ya feel me?
