But I was being serious

AZ could win the division but then again I doubt anyone would really be surprised or care who wins the mighty NFC West

Packers lost Nick Barnett for rest of season.
He's sorry

I think this is the 3rd year in a row he's been injured and had to miss the remainder of the season

Running Backs are much, much easier to find than QB's. Couldn't care less if Gore is past his prime by the time they have a franchise QB.
I hear you buddy, I'm just saying that it would be nice to have both at the same time. I mean, sure it's much easier to find good running backs.

Gore's an elite back though, a warrior, and extremely versatile... Obviously very good inside the tackles, shifty for a guy with power, the speed to run outside the tackles, excellent receiver, very good in pass protection... it's just a shame that we may not be able to pair him with a competent QB before he's in decline. I love Frank Gore, & Top 5 RB's aren't exactly a dime a dozen.

I'm also not all that high on drafting another QB in the top 5 picks - in part, because I just can't rate the top college QB's right now. More to the point though, that guaranteed money is just insane - at least for one more year, right (?) - and we've seen first hand what happens when teams make a poor decision. Just no guarantee that these guys will pan out, and then we'd be back to square one (or worse, minus that huge chunk of $).

Anyway, I'm not against drafting and developing, that will almost surely be the route we'll end up taking. I just wish we could add a polished, established QB for the short term - so we could win now - and draft his successor.

One playoff match and the division no longer represent...

RESPECT.
Boy knows his Funk.
Speaking of which, I hear George Clinton has done a tryout for a new Bears right tackle.

Packers lost Nick Barnett for rest of season.
If I knew who he was...

What kind of pussy-ass funk is...? :wth:

Thank you for the George Clinton reference, Serg. But I gotta put some props down for a little older school funk than that. For example:

The only white meat in that studio is the fried chicken, yo.

Contrast with just 8 years later, when Preston looks like a Lando Calrissian casting reject who opted to perform the same song for the Topeka, Kansas PTA...

Much better from the Lions today. The defense looked beastly and we finally got Calvin involved a lot. Pretty impressive, thought Sammy would do better than he did but we shut him down well.

The Giants smacked us around as I figured they would. We need McCain and Jackson to grow up fast and we need a new free safety, probably someone good.
