Amauri challenges Ronaldinho
Sunday 14 December, 2008

Amauri hopes he will be the only Brazilian celebrating at the end of tonight’s Juventus-Milan fireworks display.

The Rossoneri have a very Selecao flavour to them with Ronaldinho, Kaka and Alexandre Pato upfront.

“I hope Juve’s only Brazilian gets on the scoresheet,” grinned Amauri. “Hopefully an overhead kick, even if I bet this dream will come in another occasion, when I least expect it. :D

“Of course this is going to be a difficult game, as Milan are far more than Ronaldinho and Kaka. Having said that, you really can’t stop Kaka when he has the ball at his feet and he runs at opponents. He is an extraordinary player.”

The former Palermo star came so close to signing for Milan in the summer, but opted for Turin instead.

“I made the right choice. Juve were the first ones to show interest and the only club to truly believe in me.”

Kaka is an injury doubt for tonight’s match, while Juve are missing Mauro Camoranesi and the suspended Nicola Legrottaglie on top of the usual absentees.

“We have to go for the victory, but not make an obsession out of it. Juve-Milan won’t decide the title and whoever wins will take a step forward, but can be cancelled out pretty quickly,” continued Amauri.

“All we can do is try to score more goals than our opponents. You can beat Milan by putting in the perfect performance and making as few mistakes as possible, which is what Juve have done recently.

“We have the right mentality and we showed that against Inter too, even though we did not take home any points. The only negative from that night was the result.”

The 1-0 defeat at San Siro is the main reason Juventus are currently six points adrift of leaders Inter, tied in second place with Milan and Napoli.

The perfect centre forward!!!

Strong, fast, can hold up the ball, links up well, got the skill to beat a man, can score with the head or his feet!

All this for a bit of cash and a Nocerino = Bargain!!
