Wow that Amauri bid. He is doing great but if that price is really right, we should have sold him
is that the dutch secco speaking ?

you do know that there is not any striker that does ressemble amauris skill on the market?

we would lose on quality no matter who we signed after that !

and even real knows that ... for that sum the could get aguero, but hyped as he is ... everybody knows that he would easily get bullied out of the box if you would try to play him as target man!

That's because Iaquinta is Italien :agree:
Wait a minute, I thought Amauri was Italien and Gattuso was Canine?

Wait, I thought Iaquinta is Italian because he has 100% pasta sauce blood and Amauri is only Italien because he didn't get the injection from THE FIGC yet.
Amauri needs the sauce injection first, but apparently that's not enough. Reports emanating from Italy are claiming some Azzurri fans demand Amauri to be sprinkled with Mozzarella before playing.

Trying to confirm that... hold on a second... yes that is right, it's confirmed.

There is no way we would get that kind of money for Amauri. But if there was an offer like that I would sell him for sure. We play him till winter sell for double the money we bought him for and Trez comes back from injury ready to go. Not to mention Iaquinta.

With that money we could go nuts in the transfer market. Maybe Madrid would give us Drenthe and less cash :)

But either way no one would pay that much

I don't think that it would be right, we still need him even after Trez come back

yeah, i heard he is a great target man !
Even if this rumour was true and we did reject 50m for Amauri, i'll still be glad we did it.

First i want to say that Amauri is the most complete striker in the world. He's not a great poacher as Trez or RVN, he isn't a great support striker as Del Piero, but he is very good in everything and no other attacker is so complete.
Amauri is a good goalscorer, he has very good positioning, he can play everywhere in attack, his airial power is unmatched in the world, he has amazing technique, he has a magnet on his chests and he picks up all the long balls, he can create chances for himself and for the others. He's pure gold.

As for the 50m offer...
First of all, in January we'd have lost Amauri if we accepted the offer. Trez is expected to be back in February (he said so in today's interview with him). David will probably need time, at least a month, to be back in form, and it will probably be way too late for us.

Then, are you guys sure that we'd have invested the money smartly ? You keep attacking Secco for being an awful transfer guru and now you say that with the money we could buy Fabregas. Are you sure that Arsenal will sell? Are you sure that Real won't offer 60m ? Chelsea won't offer 80m?
Even in the summer i'm not sure we can buy such a world star, how can i be sure that we'd have bought a great player in January ? Plus, this world class player, whatever his name is, will be cup-tied in January.

Amauri was a great transfer. We are so lucky to have him. I hope our board wo't be foolish to sell him now or during the summer.

Tomorrow in La Gazetta: "MAGNETO": Agricola accused of surgically creating magnetic field in Amauri, trial and sanctions expected.

Way to throw out the bait, Alen.

Drogba may be better than Amauri.

Slightly poorer technically, but a better finisher.

He does have a bad attitude.

He made his comeback from injury in the league cup in midweek, but will get banned because he threw a coin into the crowd that a fan had just thrown at him. :lol2:

i was just using him as an example of the level of superstar that money can buy. Also if Trez was fit I would think Robinho would be much more useful :)

I do like Amauri but alot of people don't seem to know math ... that is alot of money.
You don't know math. That is a lot of money, but not enough for us. We probably can't buy a replacement for him in January, which would leave us with only IQ to play next to DP until Trez recovers, plus, if we could find someone, he'll be 99% cup tied.

If we make it far in the CL and win the Scudetto, we'll earn probably as much as Real offered, maybe even more.
