He played a decent match last night. One thing he does wrong almost every match is the number of silly fouls he commits. Always using his hands on other players while jumping for a ball and a slight push here and there which he doesn't have to. Then when the referee blows the whistle he throws his arms up in the air and curses.

Yep, he needs to calm down, but a decent match isn't enough for an over paid 25 million $ player of the caliber of Amauri. He need to perform better and start putting in the back of the net. Amauri has a football IQ of a gypsy when it comes to postioning and that's why he makes things look hard all the time, while on the other hand a player like Trezequet knows how to move and where to be. i just can't wait to get David back.

I actually want IQ back more than anyone else. He misses a million chances but clears a lot of them himself by getting into good positions. And he's bound to score one of them.

 IQ is one lucky SOB
I would pick IQ over Amauri now because IQ would make the runs and put pressure on defenders. Amauri need to be dropped, but too bad there aren't many substitutes at the moment to fight him for the starting position

I think spending some time on the bench will do Amauri some good. Once we have IQ and Trez back Amauri will have to start performing to be able to play and maybe the competition will raise his game.

He is a retard! Being in a team with 4 great strikers, with 2 of them long term injured, instead of using the situation and establish himself as a irreplaceable starter, while Trez and Iaquinta are out, his form keeps going down and no one should not doubt that as soon as one of the strikers are fit, he will be benched for good!

We are being linked all the time with players like Pazzini, Gago, Ledesma etc. while Barca, for example is being linked with a player like Rooney, Inter with Messi. It doesnt matter if they are true or not, but you get my point.....I remember, prior to Seria B, we were linked with the names Gerrard, C. Ronaldo.......ahhhh

It's frustrating to see some posts here. Amauri will be back soon? Will he? Or will it be another half of a season before we see another goal from him?

You know, some of you can complain that when Amauri get's the ball he has no support but he sure as hell doesn't show any support to his mid by trying to find space. Between his clueless fouls and HUGE lack of any attempt to shoot on goal he really needs to find his time on the bench. If anyone is lucky this year it has been him. Despite no injuries he has only been able to infect our attack because we have had 3 injured strikers for the majority of the season.

He needs benched quickly and I can't wait of IQ to come back. He might miss a lot of chances, but here are two very distinct differences between IQ and Amauri:

1.) IQ works his ass off into space creating not only space for himself but others as well, and this alone gets him into more goal scoring positions, not just from free kicks/deadballs which he is good at heading too.
2.) He scores. He takes his chances, despite missing a load of them he still finds a way to get a point on the score board for his club.

I'm not going to say Amauri was particularly good last night, but most of the good situations Juve got into were due to Amauri heading or chesting the ball down to Del Piero or Diego.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there(well partially). I wouldn't say most of our chances but if we are going to pay a striker as much money as we do him I am going to expect more than just chesting the ball down or heading it to another player. He needs to produce goals, neither his shooting nor his chesting/heading are going this.

Also, those who in the past claimed that he was playing poorly as a result of him not scoring is a lot of crap. The team played well yesterday, moving the ball, passing, defending (not grygrea). We controlled the game, producing chances but still, this had no affect on our striker, Amauri.

Amauri was never a great player.
yea, i think people automatically and rated him high because of the price tag we paid for him. but i'll give people the benefit of the doubt and say that they don't think he's a great player.

Hey may never have been great, but he was scoring goals for fun when he first joined us, on fire for first 6 months.
he was effective until the winter break last season. indeed the circumstances have changed but no matter how you spray it, he has been under performing for about a year now.

i think that the coaching scheme was the main cause of his problems. its simple and has been stated many times by others in this thread. without the proper service and support a player like Amauri cannot thrive. hopefully Zacc will change that.

when was the last time he had a shot on goal with his feet?
2007 :D

I bolded the truth in your sentence

Ahaa , don't care if he was good at Palermo , but he has been useless for us , sorry for Amauri's fans but this guy has to move his ass to the bench if Iaquinta return from injury .
i respect all of our players but his goalless streak is annoying , we always need someone who can convert a chance into a goal .

btw , what you guys think if he had take the penalty at yesterday game ? :pumpkin:

he need to work on his own mentality ASAP.
