Amauri won us like 20 points on his own last year. He was 'awful'?? Don't be so fucking stupid. It makes me think someone has a hidden agenda saying something like that. Yeah the goals that won us games in the derby with Torino, the last minute goal at Lecce and the double against Milan, all point winning goals...?? Awful? I mean is that a serious statement? Im completely baffled here.

no it isn't... but it's closer to that, than asking a forward to hold the ball sidelines...
Wayne Roony is similar to Amauri imo and he doesnt score a lot of goals but is still considered to be one of the best strikers in the world by many people because of his work rate, all round play and contribution to the game. Its similar to how full backs have become a crucial part of how a team attacks. I think you are being very small minded when considering Amauri's importance to our team.

wayne rooney comes back in defence and get the ball defend and so on... still i woulndn't consider him as the best... Amauri is importand in our team, but you are overrating him... statistically speaking Iaquinta and Trezeguet deserve credit than he does...

Enough Amauri bashing you bastards! 2nd half of the season goals dried up, fair enough but then he saved our black and white striped asses in the 1st half of the season more than 1 time.

Lippi considers Amauri

Italy boss Marcello Lippi revealed he may consider taking Juventus striker Amauri to the World Cup but there will be no space for Thiago Motta.

Amauri has long been linked to La Nazionale while Motta offered his services to Lippi in the past six months.

“It’s great that there are players such as Motta so adamant to play for our team,” confessed Lippi.

“But I don’t want a team made with players like him because I don’t feel it is right.

“For Amauri though it is a bit different since we have been talking about it for a year now. We will see whether I will call him or not.”

Regarding the row between him and Jose Mourinho, Lippi didn’t want to add anything else to what he already said.

“There is not point, I won’t say anything. I am not talking about Mourinho and what he says,” he explained.

“With La Nazionale we are working to try and return to the best level, we have given a chance to bring in several interesting youngsters.

“Regarding Francesco Totti, it is not true that he will be called in March,” he concluded.
