Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira (20 Viewers)

At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

  • Almiron + Marchionni + cash

  • Fuck no, don't want him at all

  • Almiron+cash

Even though I really like Amauri and think he will add a lot to the team but that's a total of +-28m €. :mute:

I hope the numbers are wrong, they probably are.

Is that Nocerino outright, or a loan?

If its outright, that's highway robbery and almost 30m € in assets leaving for Amauri.

If its a loan, that's still high, but liveable.

Interesting that he would jump from Adidas to Nike in the deal and send the image rights to Juve.

If this is happening, then I'm guessing were gona be playing 4-3-3 next season since Iaquinta said he's not gona be leaving even if Amauri comes

Del Piero - Trez - Amauri

It has been hinted by Ranieri many times that 4-3-3 is the formation that he'll be using. Actually with the arrival of Amauri and the return of Giovinco and Nedved signing a new contract I am not sure anymore but one thing is certain is that he has a wide selection at his disposal to tinker up front. The possibilities are endless.

Plus, if we are to sign Deco, as mentioned in his thread, we might not have the best team in the world, but "only" seemingly endless tactical possibilities.

How's 15m €+ Nocerino + ½ Lanzafame = 30m € ?

I don't know Nocerino's market price but it simply can not be more than 5-6m while half of Lanzafame is something around 1 or 2 m eur. (lets not overrate the kid. He may be big in the future but for now he's just a talent from a serie B club and we can only use him in loan/exchange deals or sell him for peanuts).

This gives a total of 22/25m euro, which is still way too much, but considering how overrated the strikers are nowdays, i doubt we or anyone else can do much better.
Nocerino is not wanted by the big clubs and the smaller clubs can't, and will not, pay more than 5m for him. I said what i think about Lanzafame and it's a fact that we can always outbid Palermo if we want the kid back.

So, the only negative thing here are the 5m we're losing with Nocerino or the fact that we'll be losing Nocerino as a player, not the money he could bring us.

It's clear that you have to overpay for the good players nowdays (to their clubs and/ or for their wages). That's how Milan got Flamini. Sometimes you hit the gem with some cheap talents but most of the time, in order to win the league or play the CL final you must spend big money and outbid the other great clubs.

The price is ok for me, if it's the price we're paying.
It's another question if we want/need Amauri or not, but the price is the one all the other teams will pay for him if they want him.
