I heard he had Serbian roots too. His great grandafther's uncle's sister's husband's great grandmother's father had a Serbian grandfather. I think he will be joining the Serbian national team very soon.

Well, he did say he was going to play for Partizan if Red Star don't make it to the C.L. They also want to include this incredible youngster called "Rigovinco", he's supposed to be really good but Partizan don't seem like their willing to let him go.

Zamparini Gives Up On Giovinco

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has admitted that he has given up hope of signing Sebastian Giovinco.

The transfer soap opera involving Amauri continues to wrangle on, although it has been reported that a deal with Juventus could be completed by the end of today.

Part of the reason for the delay in finalising the deal revolved around Sebastian Giovinco. Zamparini wanted to sign the 21-year-old sensation in a co-ownership deal, however Claudio Ranieri has made it perfectly clear that he will not allow any such ceding of the starlet.

It appeared that the Amauri transfer could collapse as a result, but now an alternative arrangement is said to have been found including Antonio Nocerino and either Davide Lanzafame or Claudio Marchisio.

“I have come to learn that Juve do not want to sell Giovinco,” Zamparini admitted to Mediagoal.

The Rosanero are set to sell three of their biggest assets this summer, with Christian Zaccardo joining Wolfsburg, and captain Andrea Barzagli also on his way out.

"As soon as the director of sport Rino Foschi finalises the sales Amauri, Barzagli and Zaccardo, we will focus on our transfers for next season,” Zampa concluded.

but then he said, that if donnadoni called him he would play for italy ... despite dunga also called and brought him to the brazil national team ... that would only be topped if he might get a call-up from his real origin ... the French Foreign Legion .. they are said to pay him twice as much as he deserves .... that makes it a cold sandwich and a buck of water per day.

mark,

is this thing gonna get wrapped up tonite?? when do you think they would announce it to the media and also the presentation press conference?
how the hell would I know? :D

don't know when they'll announce something but the latest rumors are 13m €+ Nocerino + Lanzafame on loan.

also, one of the problems was not only the wages but the image rights. Juve would get those and Amauri would get wages around 3.7m €/year. He's currently with Adidas but could become a new face of NIKE.
