At what cost would you be ok with Amauri?

  • Giovinco + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + cash

  • De Ceglie + Criscito + Giovinco

  • Nocerino + Almiron + Marchionni

  • Almiron + Marchionni + cash

  • Fuck no, don't want him at all

  • Almiron+cash

All these rumours are getting annoying, i just want to hear something official. All the rumours just make me start disliking the transfer move even more, and Amauri is not even a bad player, just not super necessary. But with all the proposed bs cash + players moves we are apparently thinking about, it makes me want Amauri less and less even though i doubt the rumours are true. Because in the back of my head i always wonder, "hmmm i wonder if one of these rumours, just one, may actually be true." In summary, we need to hurry up with this deal, and make a good decision before this saga ends up more annoying and not beneficial to our team.

It's not Amauri's fault. You can point your finger directly at a group of individuals that don't exactly have the club's best interests in mind.
yes I will point the finger at those idiots
however how can you openly welcome some one that is so great :gsol: that he was worth our MOST promising player

Giovinco will be playing in a Juve jersey next season.
so how do you 100% know are you in charge of juventus? I think not
sorry for being a bit blunt with you but now there are more stories and occasions that say giovinco is going than there is that he is staying this is what is making me worried.

More stories and occasions? It means jack, the only thing the media crap says is Palermo want Giovinco. Well duh, we knew that without them saying it. Giovinco staying in Juve is still 100% and there has been nothing indicated that will change that.

Amauri: Milan, Juve? I Don't Know

Palermo striker Amauri is still unsure of where he will end up playing next season.

Amauri: Milan, Juve? I Don't Know

Once again the longest running transfer saga of the season takes another turn. It was only on Thursday that the Brazilian revealed he may stay on at Palermo. However, in another twist, the striker reveals that he doesn’t know whether he will be at Juventus or at Milan next season.

The Bianconeri have been favourites to sign him, however Milan have joined the race as they look to steal the player from under the Old Lady's nose.

“I still don’t know whether I will move to Milan or to Juventus,” Amauri told La Repubblica.

“I want to wait until the end of the season, there are only two games left and then we will see what happens.

“One thing is for sure and that is that I will be playing in the Champions League next season.”

Amauri also spoke of his future plans when he decides to retire from the game.

“One day I would like to return to Palermo but my dream is to waer the Sao paolo jersey, they are the team I have always supported.”

It seems as if both Juventus and Milan will have their work cut out to try and land the player. One thing is for sure and that is Amauri will be going to the highest bidder, those are the conditions which have been set by Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini.

Because our president himself said that Giovinco will be playing here next season. Because Giovinco himself said he will be playing in Juve, because Gio's agent said he will be playing in Juve, because Ranieri himself said he will be playing in Juve, (in fact he said it back in January. Remember when we were linked with VDV? Ranieri came out and said one of the reasons we won't get him is because he would interfere with Giovinco's chances in Juve. somehow no body mentioned this hint from Ranieri, and then there was Ranieri again mentiong that he will need Marchisio and Gio for the Cl qualifiers)

more logically speaking, we need Giovinco. We are in deperate need of wingers. Even If Giovinco stays, we need another winger to cover for Nedved's place. It would not make sense to give away Giovinco and look for 2 wingers. It just means we ould have to splash extra money, money that we don't have anyway.

I don't get this hysteria. our President and coach say that Gio will be playing in Juve, people don't believe them, yet some jackass from a crappy website/ newspaper makes a (recycled) story out of thin air about us already giving away Gio and people believe it. People are sheep.

:agree: thanks.
What would make me happy would be for gigli or ranieri to say NOW that he is definetly staying

Giovinco is not a winger, Kewel and Mancini are,
Giovinco is an AMF and we dont have any other AMs in our team, neither do we intend to buy, our current formation wont favor one
So, might loan/sell him and Iaquinta to buy Mancini and Amauri.
This plan is start shaping now, because it is the second time we seem ready to offer Iaquinta for someone else, that would mean another major forward will come in.

Palermo is not just a random team that wants Giovinco, Palermo is the team that holds our primary target, someone who our managers used to rate higher than everybody else and they seem likely to sacrifice anyone to get him.
Our managers have proved in the recent past that they are not capable of logical thoughts and wise choices, choices that would benefit our beloved club, instead of hurting it. And they also demonstrated that they cannot be efficient, buying half a player where we need two and ignoring our main problems and weaknesses.

Where is your problem?Do you expect him to be a Juve fan?The guy just wants a move to a big club, and just like Flamini he will go where they pay him more if CL is provided.

Giovinco will play as a winger or a forward. he has been used as a winger before (and excelled there) and he will be used as a winger here. Just because he likes to roam and move around the pitch doesn't mean he can't play as a pure winger.

you mean just like Zaragoza held our primary target in Milito and we sacrificed every penny we had to get him?

what so you are aying giovinco is gonna go just because he is amf and our team doesn't need that? regardless of the fact that he is Italy's most promising player?

If so our management needs shooting

We (the fans) hoped that our primary target was Milito, but our managers didnt, they were not willing to pay enough to get him and they had plenty of xcuses and second choices, to avoid him.
Amauri on the other hand seems to be the "chosen one", in the eyes of our managers, the messiah that will take our team from the hand and win titles for us, all by himself:rolleyes:
They seem willing to sacrifice a lot from our current budget and future material and they keep ignoring all the other problems in our team, until they finish this deal.

That seems to be the logic our managers seemed to have, our flat 4-4-2 will treat Giovinco the same way it treated Palladino, noone can replace Neddy at that position.
Neddy's power, pace, stamina, cross, sheer will and defensive skills are still world class and players like Molinaro or De Ceglie will not be able to cover and hold the entire wing by themselves, when Giovinco will drift in.
Unless we change our formation, Giovinco wont fit in 100%
And if he doesnt, we have seen how many chances CR let to Tiago, Almiron, Criscito and co.
These are not my personal choices and views, but this is exactly what our managers showed so far.
Plain logic wont work here, they do not have the necessary experience and brain to do the right choices, unfortunately...
They really need shooting!

you guys have to look at the big picture, Nedved looks like he will retire- we want to swap Iaquinta for Mancini- we need a new backup for Trez or DP
Amauri?
I hope they keep Giovinco, I can live with Nocerino leaving

our excuse for pulling out of of the Milito race was the ridiculous price Zaragoza wanted (look at his Barca performances. I'm glad we did pull out)
So our management had the sense to realize that Milito would cost too much, and pulled out. And the Milito was similar to the current Amauri situation. Both come after months and months of rumors. Remember how Milito was very very very close to joining us last summer? then we suddenly pull out because of Zaragoza's ridiculous demands. And out of the blue we sign Andrade.

The Amauri situation is exactly the same. Months and months of rumors and negotiations, the player is very very close to joining us, but Palmero and Amauri's agent increase their ridiculous demand. So don't be shocked if our management pulls out of this one as well, and we get a player we were did not think we would get.
