Personally i believe Amauri is not a bad player, but i do not really believe he is a neccessity, as compared to our other sectors of weakness i.e certain defensive and midfield positions, such as CAM for sure. Im not sure that losing out on Palladino and other future prospects to bring in another striker (seeing as Alex and Trez are top class, and we already have Iaquinta as back up) is worth it at all. Especially as everyone knows we are lacking in other departments. I would rather save and splurge on a good CAM and/or LB personally.
Funny you think trez is so bad after scoring 17 goals so far this season...i wonder where Juve would be if it wasnt for those goals, who else would have scored that many if we didnt have trez...iaquinta? palladino?....Trez comes up when we need him, he is smarter in the box than Amauri. That is something a team needs, someone that can read the game from inside the box because not everyone can win games with goals from outside the 18 yard box. Dont sell trez, buy a classy CAM that can feed the balls to him, no use spending money on another striker, they cant do everything themselves, we need someone that can put the ball right at our strikers feet, they will do the rest....
dude i completely agree with you. especially how many times our "tinkerman" changes the lineups. Unless your trez, del, nedved, camo, buffon, now sissoko...nothing is really guaranteed. Maybe nocerino needs a "role model" meaning someone to model his game off of perhaps. someone to learn from. (just a thought, no one bash me please) :xfinger:

I didnt want this deal to happen, if we were to sacrifice any of them,
i wanted to point out that money wasnt the only issue fixed, in this certain offer.
We havent signed him yet, the Noce+Marchio deal seems very tempting, i mostly agree with that, we dont need Noce and Marchio, we already found their replacements for free and the allocation of 10-15 mil from our funds for this deal will, still allow us to make some proper transfers in places, where we really hurt.
The way i see it, this deal was too difficult to happen mostly because the incompetence of Secco and money wasnt the only factor that would fvck us up.
Surprisingly Secco came up with the best offer of his carrier, i m not sure if this offer is real, its too good to be true, it may be fabricated by a reporter's mind,
or Moggi really helps/advices Secco.
Such a deal that respect all of my parameters,(in money + material) seems to good to be true, therefore i am afraid it wont happen, if any of the parameters change in a later deal (For EX Noce and De Ceglie + Criscito instead of Marchioni + the same cash)

And what would happen if Trezeguet and Del Piero got injured? Who would play? Iaquinta and Palladino? I don't see Palladino as a prospect to the future. He mau have technical abbilities but he hasn't got the goalscoring abbility. I think that we need a striker, midfielder, and a few defenders. We should get Amauri, swap Tiago for Maxi, get Flamini and maybe Kewell on free, and with Mellberg comming in june we should get a left and right defender.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus could once again offer Sebastian Giovinco to Palermo as part of the deal to sign Amauri.

Juve are desperate to complete the signing of the Brazilian striker, however Palermo are demanding €25m, and are only willing to do business if this price is made up in a player-plus-cash exchange.
Yesterday it was reported that Bianconeri sporting director Alessio Secco had agreed with his Palermo counterpart Rino Foschi to sign Amauri for €10.5m plus Antonio Nocerino and Marco Marchionni.
However it is believed that Marchionni is unsure whether he wants to make the move to Sicily, while Nocerino is demanding a transfer to either Fiorentina or hometown club Napoli.
It now seems that negotiations are back to square one, and as a result Secco could go back to his original proposal.
It is speculated that the transfer director had originally agreed to sign Amauri for €15m plus young starlets Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.
Claudio Ranieri then vetoed this deal at the last minute, but Secco would like to offer Giovinco again as he tries to complete what is becoming something of a transfer saga.
