And what about that big injury that Amauri had last season? What if that causes troubles?
what if We get Huntelaar and he doesn't perform?

what if we don't get anyone and are left with a striker crisis?

What if we get everyone but we still under perform?

What if Inter win the CL?

There are man hypothetical questions that we can pose. The point is we need to take risks.

But to answer your question, if it causes troubles, we move one, we adapt tactically. We deal with it. Besides Amauri has not had any major injuries this season, so it does not look like a reoccurring problem.

I like Amauri, but you arent going on a limb, but all your limbs, and all the limbs of your future descendants.

This is what Amauri has to better, something only 4 players have in the history of calcio :)
Too bad they don't have stats that measure uselessness. Trezeguet would top that chart easily.

Midfield is almost as important as the defence, or is as important to upgrade IMO.
Yes that's true. Many times we have difficulties in controlling the midfield, especially at the beginning of the games and i think this is the reason we are accepting silly goals especially at the first half.

His use = score goals.

And what he is used for, he is a supreme master at, only 4 dudes in calcio history has a better scoring ratio, and if he continues to perform in couple of seasons on he can upstage them.

Stu, usually I don't think of you as a complete :smoke:. But this one liner puts you in the category of :claire:.

Trezeguet has his off form days. But we don't have a better finisher on the entire squad. His job is the one-or-two touch pounce and for the rest of the team to get it to him. That will naturally mean long stretches with no touches.

Why are we buying this slow French midfielder from Bordaux, Zidane or what's his name, when we can give a chance to our promising youngsters Alessio Tacchinardi, Raffaele Ametrano, Ivano Trotta and Nicola Cingolani ?

And how much will he cost us ? I'm gonna kill this newbie Moggi if he gives away our promising youngsters for that over-rated French clown ZiDONE !!!

We need a fuckin replacement for Roberto Baggio and what are we doing ? We're buying some Frenchy with a funny name. Nice job BOD, really nice job.
There are so many talented midfielders in Italy. Why don't we buy Fabio Pecchia (they already call him the next Andreas Brohme) or Davide Baiocco ? Why do we have to splash our money on Zidane or whatever his name is ?

And we don't really need anymore midfielders. Jugovic, Tacchinardi, Deschamps and Di Livio are just enough.

P.S: And if we're buying someone from Bordaux it should be Dugarry. But i read that Milan are close to signing him. Nice job Juve's BOD, again. For the 1000th time Galliani outsmarted us. They have Dugarry while we're stuck with Zidane.
Zidane's transfer fee was three-million British pounds. There were other midfielders available, like Dugarry, but Juventus decided to keep true to their frugal traditions and opted for the cheaper Zidane. There are other, cheaper alternatives to Amauri. Hell, Juventus should poach from Bordeaux once again, and maybe it'll pay off just as well. Cavenaghi, anyone?

I'm not saying Trezeguet is a bad player but Amauri can score goals and do other things too. I'm just a fan of complete players I guess.

so your saying trez isnt complete?

:disagree: trez is one of if not the best out and out striker in the world buddy, his records and stats speak for themselves. to even say he is useless is blasphemy and clearly from a person who doesnt no anyhting about football.

If we keep Gio, De Ceglie and Marchisio thats fine with me!

Noce + Marchio plus 10 mil would be ideal, i would welcome Amauri for that deal!
Other deals that would benefit Juve:
Palla + Marchio = Amauri
Criscito + Marchio + 50% Noce + 5mil = Amauri
Marchionni + Nocerino + 50% of Criscito + 5mil = Amauri

But i really doubt Zamparini would agree on any of this, i m sure than he will own Secco on that!

Moggi would have done smth like that:
Almiron + Marchionni + Nocerino + 50% Criscito + 10-12 mil from the sell of Palla = Amauri + Barzagli

Tiago + 5 mil = Maxi R.

Ce Ceglie+ Mirante + Giovinco + Marchisio return

and the rest of the transfer money to a world class CM

well it looks like zamparini wants nocerino plus 50% of lanzafame (plus money of course) [source: gazzetta]... i don't think we'll ever need someone like lanzafame. He may be a good guy, but i think once trez or dp retire, we'll splash some money on someone on a whole other level, and should we get amauri now, with palla coming up... i don't see what we should do with lanzafame. as for nocerino, i DO actually believe that he'll turn out better... i think he could definately be tomorrow's gattuso for italy, but the question is; do we really need a gattuso? We have sissoko who's the same age (more or less), but doing A LOT more. So that deal would be awesome if u ask me. nocerino and lanzafame are replaceable...

Plus, the article states that palla has refuted to move to palermo. I welcome that... i have no problem with selling him, but not at this moment. His market value is far below his real potential. I know i know, so far he hasn't proved anything, but i do believe that he'll turn out great...

and to this:
Moggi would have done smth like that:
Almiron + Marchionni + Nocerino + 50% Criscito + 10-12 mil from the sell of Palla = Amauri + Barzagli
i fail to see how this should be such a great deal from the oh-so-wunderful-moggi. Almiron 10mio, marchionni 5mio, nocerino 6mio, 50% criscito 2mio + 10-12mio, thats 35 mio for amauri and barzagli (who's definately NOT in his best form)... WAYYY TOO MUCH, buddy...
(i may be wrong about the values of the players, i didn't want to look them up, they're made up by myself but should more or less correspond to the reality, anyway; imo your deal would be a bad one.)

Juve Want To Sign Amauri – Zampa Confirms

If it wasn’t already common knowledge, Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Juventus have approached him about signing Amauri.

The Brazilian striker is regarded as one of Serie A’s top strikers and he was Juve’s nemesis at the weekend, scoring twice in Palermo’s 3-2 win at the Stadio Barbera.

The 27-year-old has been promised that he will be allowed to leave Sicily in the summer in order to join a big club, and Juventus are currently the overwhelming favourites to snap him up.

"I had a request from Juventus about talks regarding Amauri,” said the fiery Zamparini. “We will meet before the end of the championship.

"I have not asked any Italian team to make an offer. I have received interest from two foreign teams, Real Madrid and Barcelona, and also from British teams, but there is a problem because Amauri is still waiting for his European passport."

Juventus had reportedly come to an agreement with Palermo to sign Amauri for €15m, plus young starlets Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

However Claudio Ranieri vetoed the deal at the last minute, meaning that other possible part-exchange players are now being considered, including the likes of Antonio Nocerino, Domenico Criscito and Marco Marchionni.

Hmmm, so Ranieri vetoed the deal because he doesn't want us to lose Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie.

I guess praising Ranieri is in order.
i saw that piece of news before and now i see it again. Seriously if thats true then its really scary. Secco can't be left to operate on his own, who in his right mind could actually do this ? These three are some of the biggest prospects in all of italy and regulars for both clubs and u-21. What more does he need to convince him ?

ranieri gets credit here , and he will get more credit once he takes secco to the backroom and kicks his ass.

Ranieri knows football. By this i mean that Ranieri can spot a great talent. We can doubt his tactics or his winning mentality, but i think the guy has proven himself as someone who has the nose for talents.

On the other hand we have our BOD and if i'm not wrong all of them are people who don't have much experience in football (unlike the guys from our previous board where Moggi was an ex-scout while Bettega was a great player himself).
So, it's understandable if they make few mistakes here and there but what they mustn't do is doing things on their own, without asking our coach and our scouts for advice.
