Why are we buying this slow French midfielder from Bordaux, Zidane or what's his name, when we can give a chance to our promising youngsters Alessio Tacchinardi, Raffaele Ametrano, Ivano Trotta and Nicola Cingolani ?

And how much will he cost us ? I'm gonna kill this newbie Moggi if he gives away our promising youngsters for that over-rated French clown ZiDONE !!!

We need a fuckin replacement for Roberto Baggio and what are we doing ? We're buying some Frenchy with a funny name. Nice job BOD, really nice job.
There are so many talented midfielders in Italy. Why don't we buy Fabio Pecchia (they already call him the next Andreas Brohme) or Davide Baiocco ? Why do we have to splash our money on Zidane or whatever his name is ?

And we don't really need anymore midfielders. Jugovic, Tacchinardi, Deschamps and Di Livio are just enough.

P.S: And if we're buying someone from Bordaux it should be Dugarry. But i read that Milan are close to signing him. Nice job Juve's BOD, again. For the 1000th time Galliani outsmarted us. They have Dugarry while we're stuck with Zidane.

My mind has been changed somewhat on Amauri... the guy has some serious finish. He'd be a huge addition to the team, and would add some serious versatility.

As long as he can be had without moving De Ceglie or Giovinco, I'll probably be okay with the price. I'd rather not move Marchisio, but if he's what it takes... well, that's the price of beating out Real Madrid without draining the transfer pool.

Nocerino, Criscito, Palladino, Marchionni, Tiago, Almiron... who cares, Amauri is worth it.

Juve To Swap Crisicto & Marchionni For Amauri?

Juventus could offer Domenico Criscito and Marco Marchionni to Palermo in their bid to sign Amauri, according to Tuttosport.

Brazilian striker Amauri is a confirmed summer transfer target for Juventus, but Palermo will only do business if they are offered some players as part of the deal.

Juve sporting director Alessio Secco had come to an agreement with his Palermo counterpart Rino Foschi to sign Amauri for €15m plus young starlets Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

However it is reported that Claudio Ranieri vetoed the deal, causing the agreement to fall through.

Instead it appears a new proposal could be made which includes Domenico Criscito and Marco Marchionni moving to Sicily instead.

Criscito has been on-loan at Genoa since January, while Marchionni has endured a miserable campaign due to injury, and is likely to be up for sale in the summer anyway.

Other possible exchange names are Antonio Nocerino and Raffaele Palladino, although the latter is reported to have already turned down the chance of a move.

It's just going to be more competitive, thats it. Couple of years ago we had Alex, Trez, Ibra, Mutu, and Zalayeta so what's the big deal? Four of them are worldclass players and everything was fine, everyone got their playing time. It's like that at every big club.
Id disagree there. The ones getting the most playing time were Zlatan and Trezeguet, followed by Del Piero.Mutu was being played out of position.I firmly believe that we had one striker too many at that time.Del Piero wasnt entirely happy(and rightly so) with regards to his limited playing time and the same goes for Mutu.Zalayeta didnt really matter because he had always played this role for us.Getting Amauri would leave us with Del Piero,Trezeguet,Iaquinta,Palladino and Amauri..Someone will get pissed off here.

people here seem to forget that Iaquinta is injury prone, and that Trez is suspect to injuries as well. So that would leave us with an aging DP (who can go missing at times) and a unproven Palla. Great now imagine this:

Trez and Iaquinta are missing through injury, we have to play Roma for a chance to go on top of the table, and then 3 days after that we have to play Arsenal in the CL quarter final. Yeah Let's see how much our attack can do then when it's mising 2 key players

Next year Domenech will probably be out of the French NT (which means Trez will return). Donadoni as well (DP to return as well). So imagine with the increased matches in the CL and on international level, we would NEED another striker.

Amauri would definitely strengthen our team. He's a beast up top and he does a lot for the team in addition to scoring goals. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I think he could be better than Trezeguet for us.

Trezeguet, Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Giovinco.

I like Amauri, but you arent going on a limb, but all your limbs, and all the limbs of your future descendants.

This is what Amauri has to better, something only 4 players have in the history of calcio :)

dont think so...
if we r going to sign 3 class players (as our great board declared before!!!), 50 million wont be enough...

We need 3 class players in defensive area and not in the mid and attacking area. Amauri should be a great sing but i think we lack of potential players at defense and we need immediately new adds there.

Midfield is almost as important as the defence, or is as important to upgrade IMO. Little if any creativity, no reason to stack up with quality strikers when you cant create for them. Nedved has no bussiness being a starter next season, need a bonafide AM, and also a creative spark of a CM who can partner Momo.
