I agree with the continuity part but we also have to take into context Morata IS NOT a starter in this team. Not like we're losing one of our first team players. But it could a huge blow to our depth options, sure.
A season like the one he had, maybe not. But he was pretty much the future of the team alongside Dybala, so it's a huge blow from that perspective too coz it was only s matter of time before he became much more than a bench option. Man is going to be a top cf very shortly. It's a big loss no matter what way you look at it, and our European aspirations just took a direct hit.

True, but remember when he came here, he was literally an unknown and we had no high expectations about him but to our pleasant surprise, he delivered in the Champions league. This season he was quite underwhelming but we need to consider that our core group is intact. Morata is an important player but he does not represent that important core group of players. In terms of what he brings to the table, its a loss sure.

We have to hope others step up in his place. Perhaps even this batshitcrazy dude could do so. You never know.

Good luck to Morata

Blow? What he has done last season except in the match with Bayern? Wake the fuck up!! Morata gone we will replace him with someone better,i am sure for that.

Pogba staying,that matters.

I was wondering who would exhibit first sign of stupid revisionism as soon as we lost him. Was good odds you would draw the short straw. You never change do you?
Seriously fuck off.

I've never been a big fan of Morata ever since he arrived, feel free to dig through my posts to prove that, at one point I was arguing I preferred Zaza over him, so the above isn't anything new.

Hindsight is always 20-20, but the fact that he turned out the way he did, was just more reason to hold on to him. Mandzu for all his qualities does not offer anything close to the dimension of gameplay Morata does. And if we held on to him, we would be holding on to perhaps the best attack in the world save, Barca, and Real, for years to come. We just lost that chance, and it's blinkers over our eyes, if we think it's going to be easy to replace this guy after his well proven euro temperament for club and country alike. Massive massive blow no matter which way we look at it.
