Yes that's true. If they want to play him then that is probably what he wants but if he goes to another club it's all on him like you said.

We can try sell him to another team, but first we need to notify real madrid about the fee the other team is offering...and they can make a counter offer to match the other team, they have 72 hours to do so after the buying team made a formal offer. If they dont, morata is sold. If they do, they claim morata as they have first buying preference.

If morata simply refuses to return after madrid is showed intentions of activating the clause...we need to pay real madrid 80 million dollars for damage caused to them by not getting morata.

The contract is very well done to secure theres no way we can keep morata if madrid doesnt want to.
