Didn't happen often, like, in Coppa or after big CL matches (e.g. Bayern one, against Torino).
We didnt have all 3 fit that often either, so we cant take an example. But fact is, he started half of our games this season which cant make him a sub. If he wants to leave for more playing time Arsenal is probably the only one that can guarantee him that. Out of "top clubs"

Maybe it's BS sure...but it might be the case, because i can see Morata not being happy with him being a sub here.
Morata has been asked alot about the situation, when he was benched for lenghts.

He discarded any negativity. Said he was really thankfull for allegri who was close to him (actual quote), and that he had full believe in that he's doing whats best for his development. Allegri also continued to have this godsent timing of subbing on or playing Morata cause he rarely had a bad game, aside from not scoring for a while.

Player has said a few times he really likes it in juventus, and wants to stay but it depends on real.

I honestly dont get the "substitute" deal.

He's a first team player. Plays alot of minutes, and usually plays when he can make an impact, as a starter or sub.

Also, remember Allegri continued to keep faith in him when he was not scoring. He brought back Morata, and he was close to him all the time. Players remember these things. Its why Mourinho is so excessively loved by his former keyplayers.

Reputation matters.Would Pereyra still be starting for Juventus had he been fit whole year ? I have my doubts. We have mostly bought in Pereyra to be a bench option.

We brought Morata initially for the bench too and one who could eventually develop into a starter but that hasnt happened this yr unfortunately.
I think there is a real chance Pereyra would still be a starter/first rotation option had he remained fit. He started most of the games at the start of the season and did reasonably well even when we sucked. It doesn't matter what we bought him for the fact is he started 27 games in Serie A last season and that makes him a starter. He also led the team in appearances with 52 along with Bonucci and Marchisio that's no bench player.

Which games ? the ones at the start of the season ? as i said,we were heavily tinkering with the formation at the time.Morata was used as a LW.Injuries followed and he eventually lost his place after Dybala and Mandzukic developed a good understanding.
He's NOT a starter anymore. That should be clear atleast.

We started Dybala-Mandzukic in the Coppa final too, clearly preferred ahead of clutch Morata so there's no argument now.

Will he wait until then ? Thats the question
He lost his spot because of his bad form, and because Dybala established himself faster than we maybe expected. Still, that doesent make him a sub as he got to start after that and even if the other two might be prefered more than him recently, he still was 3rd choice in a 2 man attack. A sub is someone like Zaza who hardly ever starts and only gets to play from the bench occasionally. Morata was a rotational player this 2nd half of the season

:cronios:

why would he leave? too old? please...
Hes a great young striker, benching Mandzukic wont be that hard in the near future IF he stays

Messi Suarez Neymar
Benzema Bayol Cristiano
Lewandowski Müller Costa

No matter how much I love Mandzu and his 'guarantees'...a key to keeping Morata is to promise him a starting position
I never want us to become like Real or Barca where the top players can't be rotated or even substituted during a match because they would get unhappy. We need players who are willing to sacrifice for the team.

Exactly.

Morata once said he will forever be grateful to Mourinho for promoting him to the 1st team. He said "he could have picked anyone, but he chose me and thats something i will never forget".

Morata to United done dealio :scared:

I dont think Morata wants to be a starter as long as he plays a lot and gets to start every once in a while (like this season, around half the games). He played more this season than last season and he was considered a starter last season. He will naturally play even more next season as he improves. If it was up to him, cant see why he would leave to a weaker club for more playing time. Unless its Real, he should not be thinking about other destinations as better options than Juve

We can't give birth to a theoretical perfect player. We are dealt a hand, a bunch of players with strengths and weaknesses, a certain market situation, certain financial options. In my opinion, when considering all our options in given circumstances the smartest of moves would be to give Morata a bigger role. Let me put it this way: Max is more reluctant to bench Mandzukic after terrible performances than to bench Morata. He is not as forgiving to the Spaniard as he is to the Croatian. I'm not asking the club to sit down and make a contract that obliges us to start Morata every single time. But he can't fucking get subbed in in the 108th minute after Mandzukic has done jack shit for the entire match. If it was the other way around he would have subbed Morata off in the 60th.

Injuries, loss of form, Morata exploding.
right, but the thing is there is no guarantee. if Mandzu is in good shape he'll easily be a starter next season. If Morata goes to Arsenal - he's a starter in a League that suits his playing style (more space)

...he's gonna win shit though @arsenal Fans.

We've won pretty much every came that Mandzu-Dybala has started, Morata already plays almost as much as Mandzukic and it's up to Morata to stay patient and take his chance when it comes. I don't know why people are making such a big deal out of his alleged lack of playing time when in fact he has got plenty of it.

well, next season you said. i don't see how it's gonna be any different.
Mandzu - Dybala seems to be Max's preferred partnership - and rightly so imo.
Morata wasnt in his best form for most of the season and still played quite a lot. I like Mandzo but he was bought to be a transitional striker until Morata and Dybala grow enough to carry us. He wont be here much longer, 1-2 seasons tops and Morata will start playing more and more until he is a fulltime starter around March. Hes the better player, just needs to find his form and develop a better chemistry with Dybala

Yeah I agree Mandzu starts next season.

Arsenal would be a huge downgrade for him. We are on the verge of winning the CL and making Serie A history every season, Arsenal are on the verge of challenging for the league title.

I don't see Mandzu leaving anytime soon. If Morata isn't happy with our three man attacking rotation we will get someone else who is.

Maybe not next summer but then the one after. Depending on Morata he might stay longer. Could see him going for a new challenge, maybe England as he never played there, if he isnt a starter any more

That wasn't the point. One more slip up like this and you're on my list. This behaviour is inexcusable.

Well, obviously I'd only consider Benteke if he came quite a bit cheaper than what Pool got him for.

If Morata stays and Allegri starts acknowledging his moments of form (if it stays the same as it is or even improve), he will deserve a starting spot over the course of the season, with Mandzu having to take up the role of rotation player.

That's assuming everything goes well with Morata's input.
